When Jaclyn Fisher Events joined Constellation Culinary’s Love is in the Air showcase, they brought 1980s magic to the Horticulture Center with a bold, neon-soaked Miami Vice-inspired wedding design. Vibrant florals by Sebesta Design framed retro moments like a cassette tape escort display and Pac-Man arcade games, while cocktails by 13th Street Cocktails kept the energy high. This unforgettable 80s throwback proves that tropical glitz and retro nostalgia never go out of style and Haley Richter Photography is here to share with us everything she captured!

We had the honor of participating in Constellation Culinary Love is in the Air this year! When we learned Through the Decades would be the theme, we had our fingers crossed we’d get the 80s. Inspired by color, neon, and bold patterns, we brought the 80s Miami Vice vibes to the Horticulture Center.

Channeling the effortlessly cool vibe of the 1980s, our design reimagines wedding style with tropical glitz, retro fashion, and an electric South Beach aesthetic.

Some of the standout moments include… A cassette player escort display, where guests found their table assignments on vintage cassette tapes while a boombox filled the air with Talking Heads’ “This Must Be the Place.” Retro arcade games, Pac-Man and Ms. Pac Man, where guests sipped Cosmos and Mojitos while chasing high scores. These perfect nostalgic touches set the tone for a night of unforgettable 80s magic.
