Blush pink and white — inspired by the bride’s pink lehenga, creating a soft and romantic atmosphere that complemented the natural beauty of Los Cabos.

A soft, ethereal, and dreamy wedding inspired by the landscape of Los Cabos. Baby’s breath created a cloud-like floral look, champagne silk linens added elegance, and cozy lounge furniture contributed to a floating, romantic feel. The overall vibe was light, airy, and multicultural.

Pete proposed on a Southern California beach where the couple had some of their first dates. He created a romantic setup with a red floral arch, a path of red roses, and a boho picnic for the bride’s family. As he proposed, a passing Pacific Surfliner train honked, adding a serendipitous soundtrack to the moment. They toasted with champagne and ended the day with pizza at sunset.

The bride wore a blush pink lehenga by Indian designer Shyamal & Bhumika. Originally tried in ivory, she decided to order the pink version from India to better match the light, airy wedding aesthetic. A custom-made pink veil completed the look and honored her Pakistani heritage.

Signature cocktails during the cocktail hour included a Pink Paloma and a pastel green Cucumber Fresco. The menu featured a fusion of Western and Mexican cuisine, such as Baja lobster with gnocchi and truffle cream.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Floral arrangements featured pink and white wildflowers nestled in clouds of baby’s breath, creating a whimsical, floating effect. A grand floral arch at the ceremony echoed this theme. Tables were draped in champagne silk, and pink parasols provided nostalgic charm to the outdoor setup.[/field]

A twist on a classic Mexican tres leches cake: chocolate-flavored, blush-pink icing, and a satin bow detail.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The ceremony included a violinist performing both Western and Pakistani melodies. The bride walked down the aisle to the Indian love song “Kiven Mukhde.” The couple’s first dance was to “At Last” by Etta James, chosen for its timeless lyrics and emotional resonance.[/field]

A dedicated kids’ area with fairy-lit teepees, floor beds, pillows, and personalized plush bunnies (white for boys, pink for girls), along with coloring books to keep little guests entertained.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]One of the most meaningful aspects of the planning process was envisioning how to blend Pakistani and Western traditions into a cohesive celebration that honored both of our backgrounds. Creating a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our friends and family—rooted in personal meaning and cultural richness—made the journey unforgettable. Designing décor that harmonized with the natural beauty of Los Cabos was a particularly joyful and fulfilling part of the experience.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

Several Pakistani traditions were woven into the celebration. A week before the wedding, Saimah’s family hosted a lively dholki—a traditional pre-wedding gathering filled with music and dance—where Pete enthusiastically participated, trying his hand at the dhol drum and some spirited bhangra moves. Saimah also had intricate henna applied to her hands, with Pete’s name hidden within the design. When the henna dried to an especially dark color, her family took it as a beautiful sign—traditionally believed to symbolize the depth of love between the couple.
