A Celebration of Bold Colors and Timeless Wedding Style

Blair and Jacob’s Wedding Colors were shades of pink, light blue, olive green, and lilac. The florist, Mint Green Design, incorporated the mix of colors seamlessly and tastefully, nodding to the couple’s bright taste and personalities. Our team of luxury event planners was excited to incorporate the mix of colors, an element we feel is becoming a top wedding trend.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Their wedding design beautifully blended modern sophistication with a romantic garden-inspired atmosphere. The aesthetic balanced clean, sleek lines with lush, organic elements that evoked the charm of a garden setting. The overall vibe felt timeless yet playful, creating a sense of elegance while maintaining a fun, vibrant energy (inspired by Blair and Jacob’s personalities and zest for life). Bright, bold colors infused the space with life and energy, while architectural details in the tenting and lighting added layers of intrigue. The tent featured modern lines contrasted with soft, whimsical floral touches, creating a dynamic blend of the two design styles. Thoughtfully placed lighting created a warm, inviting glow, emphasizing the romantic and elegant wedding design. Blair’s unique personality inspired much of the design, bringing together fun, sophistication, and femininity. Floral paper details subtly nod to southern roots, honoring the couple’s home. Moving indoors, the stage backdrop enhanced Blair’s modern flair with youthful, striking elements. This purposeful fusion of influences (romantic, southern-inspired touches with contemporary, chic styling) created an unforgettable atmosphere reflective of Blair’s personality and love story. The result was a wedding design as vibrant and unique as she is, filled with visual interest and deeply personal touches. Each space with a different design and entertainment elements kept the guests wanting more and excited to know what was next! One of the favorite memories of our team of Scottsdale Wedding Planners was after the wedding, Blair re-designed her primary suite at home to match the wedding design. She purchased the exact wallpaper for their walls, a rug that mimicked the green velvet dinner napkins, and bedding matching the blue dining table linens.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Blair works in fashion and is particularly keen on being thoughtfully styled in all circumstances, let alone some of the most critical moments of her life. She shared that she gave Jacob one rule regarding the proposal: that she loved her outfit. Ignoring Blair’s request, Jacob proposed at her parents’ house on Christmas morning while she was wearing her pajamas. All in all, she couldn’t be too upset, though.

Blair’s signature cocktail was a (pink, of course) Prickly Pear Margarita, an Arizona staple for this destination event. Jacob’s favorite drink was his signature cocktail, an Old Fashioned. The guests enjoyed bite-sized hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour, including caprese bites, spicy tuna tartare cones, and crab cakes. As they transitioned to dinner, the Four Seasons Scottsdale staff served the first course, a baby arugula salad with butternut squash, prosciutto, and fig balsamic. Guests pre-selected an entree from options of prosciutto chicken or Maplewood smoked beef tenderloin.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

While designing Blair and Jacob’s Wedding, we wanted to incorporate styles that would complement Four Seasons Scottsdale, one of the best Scottsdale wedding venues. We focused on working with top vendors in Arizona, such as Prim Rentals, The Confetti Studio, and Bright Event Rentals, to mix and match the perfect blend of upgraded rentals to complete the spaces. BBJ La Tavola Linens and Mint Green Design (floral) provided the colors needed to enhance the wedding event design. Some of the wedding flowers used included several colors of garden roses, light blue delphinium, a mix of pink ranunculus, spray roses, and several stock colors. The powder blue sofas at the cocktail were a guest favorite, especially to the bride’s mother, who wanted to bring them home! The bar decals, a blue floral inspired by several other design aspects, added a delicate and tasteful touch to the large, white, curved bar. The cocktail hour linens included a Blossom White Overlay from BBJ La Tavola, mimicking the appliqué design from Blair’s Wedding Gown. The dinner setting focused on a southern and residential feel with velvet linens and napkins, modern white dinner plates, and sleek flatware. As guests moved indoors, the event design enhanced the colors and patterns. An exciting wallpaper was featured as the DJ Backdrop, and the dance floor decal was a fun, colorful pattern. One of Blair’s favorite aspects was the blush Marlow Bar from Prim Rentals.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

The wedding cake was a two-tier, simple, delicate, yet stunning white cake, including fondant flowers and a bow. Bows were an element incorporated in different areas throughout the day, one being a tasteful, silk, blue bow that Blair wore with her ponytail. When the bride and groom cut into their wedding cake, the cake was pink with fresh strawberries and cream, adding to the day filled with color. In addition to the wedding cake, Blair and Jacob wanted to incorporate additional fun and delicious dessert options. They had a dessert station that showcased mini Funfetti cake cones, vanilla cheesecake lollipops, and double chocolate brownie pops.
