A Circular Arch of Love Amid Citrus and Summer Color on Lake Maggiore

A romantic palette of warm, joyful tones, including shades of raspberry pink, coral, soft peach, cream, and touches of golden yellow. The colors were intentionally chosen to reflect the warmth and vibrancy of summer, while adding bold character to the overall design.

Alice and Marco dreamed of a wedding that felt both elegant and modern, an intimate celebration filled with beauty, generosity, and personal meaning. We broke free from the traditional “all white” aesthetic, embracing rich summer hues that felt warm and joyful, yet elevated. The venue, nestled in the lush landscape of Stresa on Lake Maggiore, inspired details like fresh lemons, apricots, and pears on the tables, a nod to the citrus trees surrounding the villa. Every design element reflected their refined, heartfelt style: custom table linens with a delicate green floral-and-bird motif, chandeliers dripping with greenery, hand-placed pearls nestled into orchids, and name cards individually adorned with delicate embellishments. The floral arch, circular and embracing, represented love and togetherness. This was a celebration of love in its purest form — intimate, intentional, and absolutely unforgettable.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

It was November 10, 2022. Marco had expressed a desire to spend some time with Alice in their favorite city, so he organized a quick trip to the beautiful Verona. She had a hunch something might be up – five years together, Verona, and him planning everything himself! They were staying in the courtyard of Juliet’s House. As they walked to their dinner reservation, Marco stopped right in front of the Arena. His “excuse” was to take a photo of them at night, with the Arena as their backdrop. He searched among the passersby for the perfect person to take the picture and found two girls. After a brief, hushed exchange, the intended photo transformed into a video. It became the video memory of their marriage proposal: a visibly emotional and nervous young man kneeling before an embarrassed, but absolutely overjoyed, young woman, asking her to be his forever.

To match the bride’s dress, the bridesmaid chose a dress with bows and puffs on the shoulders, in a sunny yellow shade that perfectly complemented the summer wedding day.

[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Food & Drink”]Food was one of the couple’s top priorities. They are passionate about Italian cuisine and fine dining, so every dish was carefully curated with the help of a refined local catering team. The menu featured exquisite seasonal ingredients and a progression of courses that felt like a journey through flavor — from a sophisticated entrée to a showstopping dessert. As a heartfelt finale, guests were treated to pizzas freshly made on-site — because what better way to say “we love you” than with pizza at midnight?[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The floral design was nothing short of breathtaking — lush, sculptural, and bursting with color. The ceremony took place beneath a large circular platform adorned with a dramatic floral arch that enveloped the couple like a warm embrace. It stood tall and radiant, a sea of summer blooms surrounding it in every direction. The reception, held in a glass greenhouse, featured cascading floral chandeliers and crystal lighting wrapped in greenery. Long tables were transformed into blooming gardens — a floral dreamscape in every shade of pink, peach, and cream. From petal to pattern, every detail was layered with intention and artistry.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The cake was a delicious multi-tiered creation by the catering team, and it stood on a one-of-a-kind table covered in a handmade tablecloth crafted from hundreds of soft pink embroidered roses — a romantic flourish that turned the cake moment into a visual fairytale. It was as beautiful as it was delicious.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

The ceremony and cake cutting were brought to life by a string ensemble performing pieces from Bridgerton, one of the couple’s favorite shows. From the processional to the emotional final moments, the live violins added a cinematic layer of romance that felt both timeless and uniquely theirs.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]One of the most thoughtful and meaningful details was the custom-designed seating chart. Inspired by the couple’s deep appreciation for each of their guests, we created a display made entirely of fortune cookies. Each cookie held a heartfelt message of good fortune—symbolizing how lucky Alice and Marco felt to have every single person present in their lives. It was emotional, personal, and playful all at once.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

As wedding favors, we gifted guests with sculptural candles—each one wrapped in a hand-sewn linen napkin. The fragrance inside was created specifically for Alice and Marco by a talented local artisan, inspired by their love story and favorite scents. It was our way of making sure the magic of their day could linger long after, allowing their friends and family to relive that emotion every time they lit the candle.
