In September 2023, our European adventure began in San Sebastián, Spain, where Griffin had planned a private sunset sail. As we sat at the front of the sailboat with champagne in hand, he popped the question. After an emphatic yes, he spun me around—and one of the “crew members,” who had been pretending to sail the boat, suddenly revealed himself as a hidden photographer Griffin had hired to capture it all. That night, we celebrated in the streets of the old town, and Griffin was mostly just relieved he hadn’t lost the ring. A year and a half later, we paid homage to that unforgettable moment with a sailboat seating chart at our wedding—a sweet nod to where it all began.

The design was a coastal vibe with an elegant retro funk! Taylor and Griffin were all about the fun details, from fish on the tables for meal selection to the boat with a sail seating chart that held welcome drinks, all the way to the fun pillows that matched perfectly. No design element was missed. Bringing in custom-built blonde farm tables for a wood element with coastal vibe furniture groupings, the tent was filled with so many wow factors for the guests.

“A Tent Raised from Resilience” Taylor and Griffin’s wedding was more than just a celebration; it was a testament to determination and love. Set on the lawn at South Seas, their reception unfolded beneath a stunning Sperry tent, custom-designed and carefully assembled in the wake of hurricane damage. Every detail of the structure, from the stakes to the sails, reflected the resilience it took to bring this day to life.

“A Handcrafted Welcome” The warmth of the day began with a deeply personal touch: seating was revealed in true nautical fashion, with a custom-built sailboat displaying names and table numbers on its sail. At each place setting, the place cards, lovingly hand-made by the mother of the bride, a whimsical sardine adorned with a unique design, not just a charming coastal accent, but also a clever way to indicate meal choices. It was a creative, heartfelt moment that perfectly captured the spirit of Taylor and Griffin’s coastal vision.

“Shells, Sweetness, and Celebration” In a playful and elegant twist on tradition, Taylor and Griffin served their chantilly cake in real scallop shells, continuing the breezy coastal theme into dessert. As friends and family watched, the couple cut their cake using a pair of decorative shells, a simple gesture that felt deeply personal and entirely fitting. It was a sweet, joyful moment that reflected their thoughtful attention to detail and their love for the sea.
