The overall design was a harmonious blend of “energetic bright” and “comfortable elegance.” A vibrant and energetic color palette of bright yellows, lush greens, soft blues, and blush tones, with hints of pink to create a lively yet elegant atmosphere.

A Dutch Masters Inspired Garden Wedding at The National Arboretum. Lolita and Noah’s wedding unfolded at The National Arboretum, where every detail echoed the romance of a Dutch Master’s painting while embracing a contemporary flair.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Lolita and Noah got engaged in Tuscany, Italy. While in Florence for Lolita’s birthday, Noah hired a tour guide to take them to several wineries in the area. At their second stop, Noah arranged for a picnic on a hill overlooking a vineyard. Noah planned to propose right before lunch. As they arrived, Lolita’s eyes immediately darted to the potato salad, and she started digging in, thwarting Noah’s best-laid plans. While Lolita enjoyed the potato salad, Noah fiddled with his fork for what felt like eternity. With appetizers consumed, Lolita agreed to step away to take in the sights. As they walked out to the vineyard, Noah dropped to one knee and asked the question. Lolita said yes, and the rest is history.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Custom Welcome Drink Station: As guests arrived, they were greeted by a custom drink station featuring a garden fountain that artfully poured the couple’s signature cocktail. This immersive experience set the tone for the unique celebration to come.

Reception Culinary Experience: Lolita and Noah transformed their wedding reception into a culinary adventure, creating an elevated dining experience that delighted every guest. With the help of their caterer, we designed non-traditional food stations that were as flavorful as they were memorable. Guests indulged in a fresh poke station, savored short plates featuring bordelaise-braised short rib and parmesan paillard chicken, and enjoyed the vibrant flavors of a summer burrata bar. The thoughtfully curated stations encouraged mingling and added an interactive, gourmet twist to their celebration. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Lolita and Noah’s ceremony featured bright, lush florals that created a truly enchanting scene, including lush arrangements of bold yellow, green, pink, and soft blue hues. The field at The National Arboretum was transformed with lush, trailing florals that lined the ceremony aisle, creating a whimsical pathway that led to a wrought-iron gazebo, all set against a backdrop of the National Capitol Columns—the original columns from the United States Capitol. Fun fact: this larger-than-life gazebo was repurposed at the entrance of the reception tent, elevating the guest experience and tying the design together beautifully. The reception was hosted under a breathtaking sailcloth tent—the largest ever installed at the National Arboretum! Custom wicker chandeliers, a 16-foot bar, and bespoke food stations set the tone for an unforgettable evening. Garden-inspired florals adorned the head table, bringing the ceremony’s aesthetic seamlessly into the tent. The arrangements exuded a natural, overflowing charm inspired by Dutch garden designs. Dancing took place under the stars, with a custom stage built for the Silver Bullets Band, who kept the celebration alive all night long.

Buttercream Bakery created the most epic work of art with Lolita and Noah’s cake. It was a four-tier fondant cake that was surrounded by a custom, modern spray of sugar flowers in bright colors, reminiscent of the wedding flowers.

The ceremony was officiated by Judge Timothy Hillman, adding a sentimental touch to the occasion as Noah had previously worked for the judge.
