Conceptualized and produced by co-hosts Lisa Catherine Photography, Raven Alexandra Signature Weddings, and Twig & Bloom Floral, the Ensemble Okanagan editorial brought together a group of creatives from across Canada, each bringing their love of natural beauty, old-world romance, and European refinement to their craft. Unfolding beneath the blooming magnolia trees that inspired the design, sweeping cliffside views offset the stunning stone backdrop of the château. A rare gem nestled in the hills of Lake Okanagan, Château Okanagan offered a setting as desirable and serene as that of Lake Como. Our design story centers around spring textures, nostalgic romance, and effortless European sophistication. Ensemble Okanagan was born out of a desire to blend European romance that came so naturally with the setting, with modern refinement. Inspired by the Château’s architectural elegance and the natural beauty of the magnolia season, the editorial showcases a timeless love story unfolding in a dreamlike setting. A vintage Porsche, classic couture, lush florals in soft blush and ivory hues, and rich textured linens set the tone for a refined and romantic celebration. Every detail, from the handmade paper details and heirloom tableware to the intimate ceremony and ensuing reception dinner overlooking the water, was designed to evoke a sense of quiet luxury. This editorial invites couples to imagine a wedding experience where elevated design and natural beauty can coexist in perfect harmony. Captured entirely on film by Lisa Catherine Photography, Ensemble Okanagan blends the intimacy of a European elopement with the immense beauty of the Canadian landscape. With its glistening lake views and cinematic energy, the château offers an unparalleled setting for couples dreaming of destination-inspired romance close to home, yet worlds away.

A dramatic full-length Ouma ballgown with a structured, strapless, pleated V-neck bodice and voluminous cascading ruffled skirt and train was the perfect selection for our ballerina bride. The breathtaking gown and accessories from Blush & Raven Bridal Boutique were paired with timeless bridal heels by Bella Belle Shoes. An additional homage to our ballerina, we chose heels that laced around the ankles like the ribbons on pointe shoes. Fresh-faced beauty was provided by Beauty by Amybeth, who styled a low knot with loose sweeping strands.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The floral design curated by Twig & Bloom for this intimate affair was lush, romantic, and thoughtfully tailored to complement the setting. Our palette of soft blush, classic ivory, and deep mulberry was chosen to harmonize beautifully with the season’s blooming magnolia and fruit trees. The bridal bouquet was designed with a whimsical, airy silhouette that conveyed both movement and sophistication, complementing the bride’s delicate figure and tulle gown beautifully. For the ceremony, florals were arranged to draw the eye outward, inviting guests to take in both the floral artistry and the surrounding cliffside views. Garden meadows, nestled in moss, climbed the branches and wove gracefully and organically through the wrought iron backdrop, creating a scene that felt both enchanted and intentional. As guests were welcomed to dine, the reception tables transitioned into a more formal setting. Lush, layered centerpieces showcased a deeper, more dramatic tone with hellebores and fritillaria, balanced by the freshness of viburnum, sweet peas, quicksand roses, tulips, and ranunculus. The overall effect was one of timeless elegance, artfully echoing the beauty of the day. Tabletops were thoughtfully styled by Raven Alexandra Signature Weddings with an emphasis on creating depth with rich velvet linens, soft tone-on-tone patterns, and layers of unique textures featuring gold accents. Set against Château Okanagan’s central lakeside waterfall fountain, the tablescape did not compete with its surroundings; rather, it looked like it was meant to be there all along. Place settings provided by The Curated Plate Co. featured ribbed crystal glassware and scalloped plates, with monochromatic napkins featuring a pendant fold and ivory velvet linens from Perspective Event Design, adding complementary neutrality to the design. Atop the plates featured an heirloom-style linen-wrapped board with soft scalloped edges, adorned with embossed white floral roses and a small brass plate holding guest names. Offering a focal point on each place setting, this unique piece, designed by Paper Ocelot, echoed the femininity of the rest of the stationery suite, complete with die-cut pieces, printed vellum, silk ribbon, and floral embellishments. Antique rose candles completed the tablescape, bringing height and cohesiveness with the quicksand tones of the floral palette. Elegant upholstered chairs by All Occasions Party & Event Rentals were grounded with natural wood accents.

Tucked within the hills of the Okanagan Valley, Château Okanagan offers a dreamy blend of old-world charm and west coast sophistication. With its French-style architecture, intricate floral detailing, and panoramic views that echo the romance of Lake Como, this hidden gem is a rare Canadian treasure. The estate overlooks a glittering lake framed by dramatic mountain peaks, creating a scene so transportive it feels more Northern Italy than British Columbia. Mornings are wrapped in golden mist, and evenings glow with soft light dancing on the water; perfect for portraits, sunset dinners, or vow exchanges with cinematic flair. The chateau itself is a vision of timeless elegance, with wrought iron details and lush gardens bursting with heirloom roses and olive-toned greenery. Indoors, light-filled rooms offer a refined palette of warm neutrals, vintage brass, and tactile linens that feel both romantic and modern. Whether you’re dreaming of an intimate destination wedding without crossing the Atlantic, or planning an editorial that captures European sensibilities with Canadian ease, Château Okanagan delivers a setting that’s as breathtaking as it is unique.
