Imagine a vision of ultimate unity; a French Provencal-inspired garden party weekend, setting the backdrop for bringing together the bride and groom’s families–separated by whole oceans and continents in between. Think of a celebration brimming with love, romance, and timeless traditions; where every game played or laughter shared becomes another cherished memory for future generations’ storytelling, while each detail harmonizes in a symphony of classic elegance and sweet enchantment. Our inspiration was deeply rooted in the venue’s design, creating a destination feel with carefully chosen elements that amplify its historical beauty and French Provencal charm. Think antiquated wood pieces and intricately-laced linens, delicate pressed glass, and dustings of gold throughout, all tied together with lush florals for an extravagant design.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Adrina & Scott’s proposal is reminiscent of their entire story, deeply romantic, intimate, and perfectly encapsulating the two of them to celebrate the shared moment. Taking place on Adrina’s rooftop in their now shared home in Newport, CA, Scott dropped his knee upon decorating the space with red roses and candle lights bountifully scattered around, with the words “marry me” lighting up the space and the night sky around them.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Our Bride worked alongside the Monique Lhuillier Bride team to create her custom bridal look, with the bride herself expressing “I immediately fell in love with her airy, romantic and feminine designs. After getting engaged, I knew there was only one designer I wanted for my wedding dress. Having a clear vision in mind for the dress, I worked with the Monique Lhullier team changing fabrics and adding little details, making my vision come to life. This dress is everything and more to me, a dream”.
For finishing touches, Adrina adorned herself with a Jennifer Behr tiara, complete with a floral motif crystal arrangement that further complemented her gown’s lacework. Other final details include Loeffler Randall heels as well as the childhood cross necklace serving as the final elements.

[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]For the bridal party, Adrina quickly fell in love with V. Chapmans gown collections – particularly the Carmel Valley Rose designs that quickly sold out on release. Through the months ahead of the wedding day, and up until the last minute, we collected the gowns from various retailers to complete the bridal party look to perfection…very much worth all the internet scouring as the final look was quite literally perfection![/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]For the groomsmen attire, all were fashioned via Men’s Warehouse.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Following the ceremony, guests were welcomed into the L’Orangerie’s open terrace area for cocktail hour overlooking the Lavender Fields. Cal-A-Vie’s selection of light aperitifs and a full bar, accompanied with a classical orchestra trio’s invited guests into the perfect atmosphere. The Bride and Groom toasted their guest with His and Hers cocktails: a Cucumber & Gin Spritz as well as an Old Fashioned.
Moving into Reception, guests gathered inside the L’Orangerie for a heartfelt prayer, followed by a wine pour and searing dining. Cal-A-Vie’s culinary team brought forth an inspired menu featuring a multi-course selection of french-inspired cuisine. The first course offered was a mixed greens salad featuring local, organic produce fillings and a poppyseed vinaigrette. A basil
and mint sorbet served as the palate cleanser before guests enjoyed their choice of Wagyu Beef Tenderloin, Wild King Salmon, or Caramelized Cauliflower Steak for the main course.
To close the reception dining, Adrina & Scott delighted their guests with a local favorite, Mangiamo Gelato. Throughout the evening, guests indulged in their favorite gelato flavors, a sweet homage to Adrina’s late grandfather, affectionately remembered as a connoisseur of chocolate desserts and the inspiration behind the celebration’s gelato stand, fittingly named “Vahe’s Gelato”.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Given the venue’s awe-inspiring architecture –structures quite literally imported from France–, the understated elegance provided the ideal backdrop for florals to take center stage. Tularosa Flowers adorned every corner with lavish, sprawling blooms; cascading abundantly from every table top and spilling over every urn turned ‘just so’, creating a beautiful color story saturated with peaches, blushes, buttery yellows and the softest of blues.
Perhaps most striking was the ceremony design, featuring a floral aisle that delicately ascended to the altar and lay pooling around the Bride and Groom’s feet. Prior to the ceremony start, guests had been welcomed into the chapel’s surrounding rose garden before taking their seats, setting the stage for the perfect reveal and enchanting celebration to follow.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Lila Cake Shop brought forth a four tiered strawberry-shortcake creation adorned with abstract buttercream blossoms of soft blush, muted peach, beige, and cream tones, each delicately accented with touches of gold leaf tucked into each bloom. Prior to an intimate cake cutting by the Bride and Groom, the piece was elegantly displayed in the L’Orangerie for guests to peek at throughout the reception.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]In staying true to tradition, the Bride and Groom opted for a traditional Armenian Christian Orthodox ceremony, complete with songs, prayers, crownings and other forms of blessing. Amidst the obvious romance of the ceremony, Scott brought extra sweetness in speaking Armenian (a New Zealand native himself), a sweet surprise filling the chapel with adoring sentiments from guests and Adrina’s family.
In terms of music, the Bride and Groom curated a meaningful playlist featuring classical renditions of Coldplay’s “Paradise” and “Sky full of Stars,” as well as the Goo Goo Dolls “Iris”. Each song held special significance, representing sweet memories and shared milestones. Just outside the chapel, an orchestra trio set the tone with enchanting renditions of each selection through the ceremony processes and following cocktail hour.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]In guiding guests to their seats, we designed a charming “Ring in the Love” escort display. Antique bells, each inscribed with the guest’s seating arrangement, carried a message inviting guests to “ring for love,” signaling the Bride & Groom’s kisses throughout the evening – an invitation gladly obliged by Adrina & Scott.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The Bride & Groom shared an intimate ‘first touch’, sharing a sweet prayer prior to the Ceremony’s start and clasping hands just outside the chapel’s doors. They saved the first look for the aisle, stealing a quiet moment together at the start of the reception to cherish the beginning of their newlywed bliss.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]After the Father-Daughter dance, Adrina surprised her father with a second dance to an acoustic rendition of Tina Turner’s “Simply the Best”. This heartfelt gesture made for a sweet moment, celebrating their bond with intentionality and love.[/field]
