The bride and groom chose to utilize a soft pastel palette in a delicate blend of hues, complemented by varying shades of pink and enriched with vibrant greens and blues.

Our vision for the wedding was an elevated garden party—whimsical yet timeless, where European villa charm met the sweet simplicity of the South. I wanted every detail to feel effortless and romantic, blending dreamy linens, statement florals, and the natural beauty of the surroundings into a setting that felt both enchanting and classic. – Mackenzie, Bride

[field title=”Proposal Story”]
Davis and I started dating during the Summer of 2020, so naturally, we had to get creative when finding fun date spots due to all of the closings! Davis grew up playing golf and eventually went on to play golf in college. So naturally, when he asked me on a date, it was to go play golf. I was not a golfer and had no intentions of even swinging the club on our date, but regardless, I agreed to go, and I am so thankful that I did. Three years and a few golf swings later, we got engaged at a golf course very near and dear to our hearts. It was a beautiful spring day, surrounded by our very best friends and family. – Mackenzie, Bride

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]
When it came to planning my wedding, I thought picking out my wedding gown would be a challenge for me. I have a unique relationship with wedding gowns as I have been modeling for Allure Bridals since I was 16 years old. While some may think that would make the process easier, I always thought the opposite since there were so many styles I had come to love over the years. My experience when picking out my wedding dress was very unique. Because the team at Allure Bridals had become like family to me, I was able to bring my Mom, Future Mother-in-law, and two maids of honor to their showroom in Atlanta while I was working. To start the process, I pulled some of my favorite dresses — and so did my “entourage” — to try on. Everything from ball gowns with 3D floral appliques to sleek, clean fits and flares was in the dressing room. I ended up choosing a gown that was a stunning blend of both. Allure Bridals has an exclusive line with Disney called Disney Fairy Tale Wedding Dresses, which are inspired by various Disney princesses. The gown I chose was an Aurora-inspired gown in this collection, and it truly made me feel so beautiful from the moment I tried it on. This gown is style #DP401. The bow that I had attached to the dress was inspired by the themes from Rapunzel; that style number is #DP406cp. The lace and floral detailing on the dress, paired with the gorgeous cathedral-length bow, made all of my wedding dress dreams come true.

The vision I had for my bridesmaids may have been the thing I was most excited about when I started planning. I wanted them to be able to find a dress that they loved and that expressed their personalities. I wanted their dresses to incorporate the pink color scheme in a fun and unique way. The hardest part for me of doing mismatched dresses was making sure all of the colors, textures, and patterns complemented each other rather than overpowering or distracting from each other. To help in the process, I created a PowerPoint to line up all the dresses as people bought and tried on them, so we could see what it would look like on the big day. I am so pleased with how this turned out and would encourage any bride to give it a shot and let your girls have fun with it!

[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]
There’s nothing like having an outdoor wedding in the Summer, and although it was in the low 80s on our day, I did not want the groomsmen to be sweltering hot. I love the classic look of a black or navy suit, however, I wanted to embrace and lean into the chateau feels, so I had all of our guys wear a lovely tan shade. Allure Bridals does menswear as well, which is what the groomsmen and groom wore on our wedding day. Their specific color was sand, and they provided a pink tie as well. As a way to elevate my husband’s look, I had him wear the vest in the same sand shade as well as a bow tie and pocket square in the same shade of pink.

When selecting and planning for the food and beverage we were going to have at our wedding, we worked with Kristen from Epting Events out of Athens, Georgia. Epting Events has decades of event and catering experience, and they were an absolute joy to work with. For the cocktail hour, we worked with their team to come up with light bites that guests could enjoy while sipping on one of our signature cocktails. We served miniature chicken and waffles as well as spicy pimento cheese crostinis with pecan and bacon jam. For our signature cocktails, we had Mackenzie’s Margarita and Davis’ Transfusion. Our main course meal started with rolls and cheddar cheese biscuits paired with a delicious summer salad that was served to guests as they were taking their seats. I still have people who attended our wedding comment on how great the salad was! We chose to do a buffet-style dinner where we had pork tenderloin and herb-roasted chicken as our protein options, fingerling potatoes, baked macaroni and cheese, roasted Brussels sprouts, and southern green beans as our sides. -Mackenzie, Bride

From the moment we began the design phase, Mackenzie had a clear vision—one that we were thrilled to bring to life with intentionality and artistry. Her aesthetic seamlessly wove together delicate watercolor elements, antiqued ginger jars, and organic woven textures, all set within an open-air setting that embraced effortless elegance. At the heart of our design philosophy is a commitment to ensuring every wedding feels deeply personal, an authentic reflection of the couple’s style and story. To achieve this, we curated a team of exceptional vendors whose expertise and attention to detail elevated each element to perfection. The result? A celebration that was as breathtaking as it was meaningful—a true testament to the power of thoughtful design and seamless execution. – Madelyn, Owner and Lead Planner of Madelyn Tenney Events

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]
Something unique that Davis and I knew we wanted at our reception was an ice cream truck! We chose to prioritize this over having a wedding cake for all of our guests, however, we still wanted to incorporate the traditional cake-cutting aspect of the reception. We had a very close family friend of ours, who makes incredible cakes, create a beautiful, two-tiered vanilla cake with a classic satin bow tied around it for a bit of simple yet elegant detailing. -Mackenzie, Bride

Mackenzie and Davis’ ceremony was so spiritual and reflected the true meaning of marriage. While capturing their wedding ceremony, it was so special to witness and capture both of them worshipping our God to the song Gratitude by Brandon Lake. -Gabbie Messer, Photographer

Bridesmaids’ baskets – a unique approach to the traditional bouquet. As a way to bring a fresh take to my bridesmaids’ florals, I had my florist make each arrangement inside a wicker basket with a pearl handle. To give my two maids of honor special recognition, the florist utilized the same colorful florals that were in my bouquet. For the remaining baskets, she incorporated vibrant, draping greenery and classic white hydrangeas and peonies. -Mackenzie, Bride

One detail about my wedding that many people do not know is that I designed my wedding suite and signage using elements that Addie Lee’s art was painted and digitally scanned. I was able to take the floral details and crest that she hand-painted and design my save the dates, invitations, envelope liners, programs, table numbers, menus, etc. If you saw signage at my wedding, I designed it! This was such a fun challenge for me, and I loved being able to use my creative/graphic design skills to make all of the details come to life. -Mackenzie, Bride

At each table during the reception, the floral centerpieces were placed in a carefully crafted collection of antique jars and vases. One of my favorite hobbies is visiting antique stores and estate sales so when I got engaged I started collecting jars with the end vision in mind of using them at my wedding. Although they were all different, the colors and patterns I stuck to curating provided a beautiful way to showcase my florals. I now have the various jars displayed in around my home and it is so sweet to have the memories of our special day all over. -Mackenzie, Bride
