Because it was a destination wedding, we wanted to give our guests a full picture of one of our favorite cities, Madrid. We wanted the ceremony to feel very regal and grand. The ceremony took place at a stunning Catholic Church right in the middle of the city, The vision was for the grand stairs to be a main focus once the guests arrived, while the inside felt very warm and inviting. The reception took place on the outskirts of the city. The vision was ‘ Spanish Countryside’. We used 3 different spaces and each one delivered a different and unique ambience. The goal was for it to feel romantic and effortless. The place speaks for itself.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]
The very anticipated proposal… After 10 years of dating, it finally happened in the beautiful country of Portugal. David and I have known each other for almost all our lives – our families were friends, and ever since we were very young, we have always gravitated towards each other and have had a once-in-a-lifetime connection. We lived in different countries ( both from Venezuela), so it wasn’t until David moved to the USA in his 20s that we could finally explore our relationship on a deeper level. In December of 2022, we took a trip to Europe to visit his family and always try to hop around different countries. We had a trip planned to Portugal, which is where the proposal happened. It was a beautiful terrace of a Hotel that overlooked to whole city. The best part was that I was completely SHOCKED! We were going to Paris right after, so I was convinced that if it was happening this trip, it would be there. He had a photographer to catch the moment ( he knew this was an absolute must ). It was so special and I loved that we got to go to Paris to celebrate in the most Romantic city.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]
THE dresses… This is why there was a wedding ;). I have been in the fashion bridal industry for almost 12 years, so it really was ALL about the dress. I am lucky enough to work with the most incredible bridal brand, Galia Lahav. I am the store director of the Miami Flagship, so the second I got engaged, the whole team was so excited to start designing the dresses. I worked alongside our head designer, Sharon Sever, to create three fully custom looks. This was the most special journey during the whole planning. I have styled thousands of brides throughout my career, and I am surrounded by the most beautiful dresses every day, so I knew that we had to make something custom to represent me, my love for the brand, and the incredible talent of Sharon. Each of my custom looks was a true reflection of my romantic yet fashion-forward style, blending timeless elegance with a touch of modern sophistication. The Ceremony Gown: For my ceremony look the inspiration was a harmonious blend of timeless romance and contemporary elegance. The design began with the idea of creating a gown that embodied classic bridal beauty with a modern twist. To complement the structured corset top, Sharon designed a voluminous tulle skirt with an irregular hem. The layers of tulle provided a dreamy, ethereal quality, allowing me to move gracefully and feel like I was floating down the aisle. To further elevate the look, we incorporated a structured shoulder bolero. This unique addition brought a touch of fashion-forward elegance to the look, making a bold statement while maintaining the gown’s overall romantic feel. Reception: I opted for a sleek, form-fitting silhouette with intricate beadwork and a daring open back. This look allowed me to move freely and dance the night away, while still feeling glamorous and sophisticated. The main inspiration was the signature GL illusion back. This detail was inspired by the brand’s renowned ability to blend boldness with delicacy, creating a look that is both daring and refined Welcome Party Mini Dress: Knowing that my main wedding dress would be quintessentially bridal, I wanted something entirely different for the welcome party – something that exuded sophistication and a touch of daring elegance. The black mini dress was the epitome of modern glamour. The white feathers added a playful, whimsical touch, creating a striking contrast that symbolized the merging of classic and contemporary elements. This dress was a true collaboration with our talented team, reflecting our shared passion for creating standout, memorable looks. It was crafted with the same meticulous attention to detail that Galia Lahav is renowned for, ensuring that every feather and stitch was perfectly in place. The result was a dress that not only captured the essence of Madrid but also allowed me to express a different facet of my personality.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]
The food was the main attraction without a doubt. There was not a single person who did not compliment how exquisite everything was. Guests were greeted with a homemade lemonade drink to prepare their palates. This is a specialty from the catering industry. Cocktail hour consisted of endless appetizers and different food stations: cheese table spread, Jamon Serrano cutter, and a tuna station, which I think was everyone’s favorite. Meanwhile, servers were walking around serving EVERYTHING possible – peach gazpacho, teriyaki chicken wraps, Venezuelan Tequenos, and Foi Gras to name a few. There, of course, had to be an Aperol Spritz station, which is one of our favorite drinks. For dinner, guests were served filet mignon with truffle mashed potatoes or branzino with glazed carrots. During the tasting, I couldn’t decide what I liked more, so to stay true to my sweet tooth, we had 2 different types: a passion fruit mousse served in a martini glass and a dark chocolate cake. Since the wedding went until very late, we wanted to serve our guests a past midnight snack of mini burgers and tequenos – this is also when we passed out our wedding cake

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]
While we wanted everything to be beautiful and detailed, we truly fell in love with our venue so much that we wanted to keep the integrity of its vibe. After a few design meetings, we ended up with 2 long rectangular tables that were decorated with flowers, candelabras, and candles. It was outside, and I timed it so that the guests would be sitting right at sunset. And WOW! The combination of the sky with the landscape of the venue created an ambiance that I couldn’t even dream of. While it was so stunning to see, it still felt so warm and inviting.

We wanted to keep the cake simple, but still chic. It was a three-tiered dulce de leche cake with an organic design of deconstructed petals.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]
We love a good party, so getting the right music was key. During cocktail hour, we had a live group, Ole Petit. They played for our first dance, Perderme contigo – we didn’t think much about this portion. We wanted the first dance to be short and effortless – I think we picked the song a few days before. However, for the reception entrance, we had this song chosen years in advance. It was ‘If I lose myself- Alesso’. It shifted the mood from the softer music during dinner to full party mode.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]
Invitations: We designed a custom French-style Toile, with hand-drawn photos of our wedding venue, our church, and the place where we got engaged. It didn’t feel quitefinishedh so we had to add our dog, Luka, to the mix. Our invitation designer, Mares, did an incredible job – it was only supposed to be used for the invitation, but wound up bringing all of our menus with this design. I loved that it was something so small, but it felt so personal.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]
Hora Loca: We are both from Venezuela, and it is tradition at weddings that at the very end of the night, the bride and groom come out with fun props for all the guests. There is usually a theme, so we opted for a “Spanish Theme”. David is a huge Real Madrid fan, so we had a custom hat with lights made for him, while I wore a crown from Maria Elena Headpieces. Our guests were given out red and yellow LED glow sticks, Spanish-style shawls, red flamenco rose clips, and red LED heart glasses. Our guests went crazy over this, and it brought the party to a whole new level. We ended up staying until almost 4 AM

[field title=”Special Detail #3″]
Welcome Party: We decided to host our welcome party at a rooftop right in the most fabulous street in the city, Serrano. We were there the summer before while planning the wedding and loved the energy and vibe. It felt completely different than the wedding, which is what made it perfect. Our closest friends all attended dressed to perfection- David and I were both wearing black, so our guests were in all white, ivory, and nude tones! It was so special to see everyone and spend time together. It was the most incredible start to a week spent with all of our favorite people.
