A Late Summer Wedding Set In the Countryside at Pippin Hill Farm

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Shannon and Ryan planned a summer wedding back in the place where it all started in the countryside of Virginia. They spent the day before the wedding walking around the UVA campus and visiting memorable spots before celebrating with loved ones at Pippin Hill Farm the next day. [/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]On April 29th we closed on our first house together and Ryan shocked me with an engagement the next day getting me to dress up by telling me we were celebrating buying our first house. He proposed on Pier 26 in NYC with the skyline behind us! Then had a surprise engagement party that we walked to at L’Appart in Manhattan with all our close friends and family (who all shockingly managed to fly in without me knowing)! L’Appart has always been a special place for celebratory events, anniversaries, new jobs, etc. We met the chef along the way and he opened specially just for us that day! [/field]

[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Food & Drink”]Guests enjoyed wine from the vineyard, cocktails and delectable hors d’oeuvres on the lawn as the sun set, before heading inside for dinner and dancing.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The reception space was beautifully designed using soft blue and floral tablecloths, white dinnerware, floral napkins, white and green florals and blue and white candles on the tabletop. The dance floor was elegantly designed by incorporating hanging green ivy light fixtures. The rental company went above and beyond and purchased specialty chairs just for the occasion. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The couple’s hexagonal cake was adorned in soft blue painted florals.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Guests were serenaded by the a cappella ensemble from UVA on the porch as a special homage to the couple’s beginnings.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Shannon and Ryan met at University of Virginia where they became good friends before kindling a relationship in NYC. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Guests found their seats by stepping over to the beautifully designed escort wall display. The gold shelves housed a jar of olives for each guest with Shannon’s personal (extra dirty) Martini recipe printed on the label.[/field]
