Throughout the planning process, pink gradually became a central theme. We had so much fun with it, especially Quin, who embraced the playful side of pink and let it shine. Our goal was for the day to feel fun, romantic, and full of life, and Madeleine delivered on that vision, while Becky captured it perfectly.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]
The plan was to gauge the moment and propose when it felt right during our trip to Europe. But, as John Lennon famously said, “Life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans.” The day before we were set to meet up with four other friends, Carly ended up getting sick. Running out of time, I tried to convince her to at least come watch Berlin’s professional hockey team play, then take a walk to the Oberbaum Bridge. Carly, however, insisted she needed to rest. In a playful moment, she said, “Love me forever”—a phrase we use when something silly happens and one of us feels bad. Without missing a beat, I replied, “Of course I will,” and slipped the ring on her finger. Carly paused, looked at me, and said, “No…You didn’t even get down on one knee!” So, we did a little redo in a beautiful park later. Looking back, Carly has come around—what we thought was a change of plans turned out to be the perfect proposal after all.

Ines Di Santo – Margot (custom bottom) I always knew I wanted my wedding dress to feel like me, timeless but with a little something unexpected, elegant but not overdone. It wasn’t just about Quin, even though I couldn’t wait to see his reaction. This was about the dress I’d imagined for as long as I can remember.. When my mom and I saw the mesh detail on the back, we both knew it was the one. It brought this perfect balance of sophistication and uniqueness that made the dress feel special, like it was made for me.

[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]
I’ve always had a soft spot for pink. Since all of my bridesmaids are so unique, I wanted them to have the agency to choose their dresses. A dress that lets them feel confident and beautiful. Instead of going for a one-size-fits-all approach, I gave them the freedom to choose from different shades of pink, ensuring that each dress suited their tastes and made them feel their best. The goal was to create a cohesive look that felt personal and authentic, rather than sticking to a traditional, cookie-cutter bridesmaid style.

The one thing that Quinlan was firm on was getting married in a blue shawl collared tuxedo. He’d tried buying directly from a retail store but ultimately chose to go with Atelier Suiting in Calgary. Lauren took the time to meet with Quinlan and his family to design a perfectly tailored suit and shirt while also providing matching cufflinks and tuxedo buttons. A black satin bowtie and black leather loafers added the finishing touch.

Deane House is perfectly aligned with our vision. The beautiful garden and expansive lawn provided an idyllic setting for our ceremony. The exceptional food, handcrafted cocktails, and dedicated staff made Deane House an effortless and unforgettable choice.

Matt’s flowers felt like art grown for us. The florals were where we wanted to get creative and have some fun. When Madeleine showed us the concept for the baby’s breath Chuppah, it felt as though she had pulled the idea straight from an imagined vision board in my mind. Matt brought our vision to life in the most breathtaking way; we felt like absolute celebrities. The natural beauty of Deane House’s setting required only minimal additions, so our contributions personalized an already vibrant setting.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]
Music has always been a meaningful part of our lives, so we chose songs that truly reflect who we are as a couple. Quin walked down the aisle to the timeless elegance of Fly Me to the Moon by Frank Sinatra, setting a classic and romantic tone for our ceremony. Carly followed with a heartfelt instrumental version of Beautiful Crazy by Luke Combs, a nod to our love’s tenderness.
