From Toast Santa Barbara: When designing Chloe and Chris’s wedding, the focal points were bright, cheerful, summery colors and fun, playful patterns! San Ysidro Ranch is already such a beautiful backdrop, we wanted to play off of the blooming rose gardens and charming Stonehouse restaurant.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]The rose lace Oscar De La Renta gown was the perfect complement to a wedding next to a rose garden with an abundance of florals. It was the perfect marriage of classic design with modern detailing.[/field]

The couple decided to forego a wedding party and simply encouraged their friends and family to dress in their garden party finest. The bride’s sister also donned a gorgeous floral Oscar de la Renta printed gown.

Dinner was served in the iconic Stonehouse dining room at San Ysidro Ranch with delicious farm-to-table California cuisine, including wild mushroom toast, the choice of goat cheese and pear stuffed chicken or parmesan crusted halibut, and a Meyer lemon tart for dessert, made with lemons grown locally right on the ranch.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]
The ceremony was filled with lush, sherbert-toned roses, dahlias, zinnias, and ranunculus. Woven baskets filled with blooming rose bushes lined the aisle, accompanied by parasols to keep guests comfortable during the Ceremony. Julie King created their beautiful floral-filled hand-painted Save the Date and Invitation Suite featuring the garden motif and a little bunny (often seen on property at SYR) that made an appearance again at cocktail hour as the escort cards. Casa de Perrin’s beautiful ceramic plates were the perfect complement for reception tables filled with organically gathered arrangements, blush taper candlesticks, and rattan napkin rings. Guests sat down to personalized, illustrated menu booklets and dined on locally-sourced, seasonal dishes prepared by San Ysidro Ranch.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]
The cake was created by Lele Patisserie and was a double chocolate cake with vanilla bean frosting. It was decorated with live blooms and surrounded by greenery and candlelight tucked away inside the historic Old Adobe, where guests made their way after dinner for an evening of dancing inside the carriage house and veranda.

The couple invited three of their friends’ sons to be their adorable flower “chuckers,” who all did an incredible job chucking the flower petals down the aisle, followed by their ring bearer, who carried the same pillow used by the bride’s parents on their wedding day.

The couple brought a Polaroid along to the reception for guests to snap their Polaroids on the dance floor all night long.

The couple’s two dogs made an appearance in the watercolor on the RSVP card, and their paw prints were used in the custom-painted sneakers the groom surprised his bride with as a gift on the morning of the wedding.
