A Rom-Com Worthy Spring Wedding in Vermont at Basin Harbor Club

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Corinne and Bryan had a muted spring palette plus navy and champagne. [/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Bryan and Corinne had a rustic New England wedding with a whimsical wildflower vibe.

How did you choose your wedding venue and aesthetic?
We got married at a lakeside resort, Basin Harbor. We both have a shared love of the area, with Corinne growing up in Vermont and Bryan visiting his family cabin just across the lake in the Adirondacks. It was the perfect combination of the two of us, and we were so excited to get married in such a beautiful area. We had friends and family travel from all over the US and even a few internationally, so it was important to us for our guests to feel like this was a vacation for them too, and Basin Harbor was the perfect location. We all spent the weekend staying onsite in beautiful lakeside cottages, making smores, kayaking, listening to live music, and celebrating with the people we love![/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]We met as everyone does nowadays – on the internet! We matched on Hinge, made plans for a dinner date in the North End of Boston, and then proceeded to spend five hours together on said date because we did not want the evening to end!
How long did you date before the proposal happened? Just shy of two years.

Within a year, we moved in together, and one of our favorite routines is ending each evening with a walk down Hanover Street in the North End, which is where we had our first date. On one of these evening walks, Bryan proposed, Bryan hired proposal photographers CityLux (who ended up being our wedding photographers) to capture it, and we celebrated with our family that same evening at Mare in Bostons North End![/field]

[section title=”The Fashion”]
[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Corinne wore a simple mermaid style gown designed by Grace Loves Lace. Her welcome party dress had pieces from her mothers dress incorporated into it. [/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]Corinne’s bridesmaids wore champagne colored midi satin dresses from Show Me Your Mumu. [/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]Bryan wore a custom navy suit by Indochino. He customized the inside of his jacket with a
colorful Tucan print – sharp and fun, just like him! He and his groomsmen wore monogrammed leather suspenders, which were extremely necessary on the dance floor… they danced hard![/field]

[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Food & Drink”]For their signature drinks, Corinne and Bryan had a Vermont Old Fashioned, which contains maple syrup, and an aperol spritz. For dessert, Bryan and Corinne had a Vermont Maple Creemee Ice Cream Truck arrive after dinner. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Corinne and Bryan wanted florals to be as if they could pick them in a Vermont meadow. Their ceremony arch consisted of muted wildflowers flowers and greenery creating that whimsical and rustic vibe from the very beginning. This vibe carried right into the reception. Each table setting contained wild flowers in bud vases and light blue candlesticks or a beautiful wildflower bouquet with lots of greenery. Around the reception space, Bryan and Corinne had wicker lanterns surrounding the space. These lanterns created a cozy feel to the atmosphere. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The couple had no formal cake. They opted for a Vermont Maple Creemee Ice Cream Truck instead![/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Our ceremony took place under a shady tree overlooking the harbor below, and my brother Christian officiated. Bryan and I had spent a few evenings prior sitting in our cottage on the property, writing our vows to each other, which felt very intimate and comfortable. That feeling of intimacy and comfortability transferred over to the ceremony. We felt very at ease and relaxed – Christian’s many jokes helped with that![/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Bryan and Corinne had a Vermont Maple Creemee Truck for dessert. They even served some ice cream to their guests themselves![/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Bryan and Corinne had the Lucky Photo Trailer, a Boston based traveling Photo Booth trailer. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Following their ceremony, Bryan and Corinne took a boat ride on Lake Champlain. [/field]
