the vision
The vision for Georgia and Oliver’s summer wedding was an elegant, sophisticated, and effortless aesthetic, inspired by the colors of Aperol Spritz. They wanted a country manor house venue with an abundance of color and they wanted it absolutely filled with florals. Fine art floral designs complemented the laid-back luxury aesthetic of the day and invoked a classic English garden feel. A mirror with personalized decals, adorned with florals, was set outside for drinks before being moved to the reception as a photo opportunity for guests. The table styling was kept simple to allow the florals to shine. Colored napkins in shades of blush pink and coral were tied with ivory satin ribbon, complimenting the florals. Guest place cards in coral with white calligraphy were set at each place.
a fairy tale venue
Set in the heart of the Cotswolds, Elmore Court was the quintessential English venue. Their outdoor wedding ceremony was set in the walled garden, with views of the rolling hills. Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed champagne and canapes on the gorgeous East Lawn, surrounded by trees and dressed with lounge furniture and parasols. Dinner and dancing followed in the Gillyflower, which was transformed into a flower-filled space.
the fashion
Georgia wore a stunning off-the-shoulder gown by Madi Lane. Featuring a feminine A-line silhouette with pleated off-the-shoulder straps, a full circle skirt with a leg split, and a cathedral-length train. This was accessorized with a pearl-beaded headband and satin shoes. Georgia carried a bouquet of roses, spray roses, peonies, scented stocks, sweet peas, and jasmine.
In love with the fully mismatched look, Georgia wanted her bridesmaids to feel like themselves on the day, look incredible, and wear a dress they would wear again. Her bridesmaids chose their own dresses to complement the wedding color palette and epitomized the summer black tie dress code. The bridesmaids carried complementary bouquets.
Oliver and the Groomsmen wore morning suits, with matching waistcoats and ties. Oliver chose a blush waistcoat and blue tie, with the groomsmen in dusky blue waistcoats and blush ties. Oliver and the groomsmen wore pocket boutineres, instead of traditional boutineres.
the florals
A deconstructed arch by Corky & Prince was the focal point of the ceremony, complemented by abundant meadow arrangements down the aisle. The shoulders of the ceremony aisle chairs were dressed with peach and coral satin ribbon. Lounge furniture and parasols were placed all around the lawns for guests to enjoy during drinks and later in the evening, when the fire pit was lit and festoon lights hung. Inside the Gillyflowers, long tables featured bud vases filled with coral and peach wedding flowers, and raspberry pink dinner candles complemented the look. A bespoke ombre floral curtain of fresh flowers was created as the most beautiful backdrop for the head table.
the soundtrack for the day
A string trio provided the music for the ceremony and cocktail reception, their beautiful melodies in keeping with the stunning venue and wedding aesthetic. Georgia’s bridesmaids walked down the aisle to “Stand By Me”, before Georgia, accompanied by her father, entered the ceremony to “The Book of Love”. Once vows were exchanged and the ceremony was complete, Georgia and Oliver walked out to “This Will Be”. Readings were performed by Oliver’s mother and two of the bridesmaids. After dinner, Georgia and Oliver took to their dancefloor for their first dance as husband and wife to “Until I Found You”, a very special moment for their guests and families.
good food
Guests enjoyed a selection of canapes during the cocktail reception, before sitting down to a three-course plated dinner. Indulging in smoked duck salad to start, a delicious main course of roast lamb rump, and classic English desserts of lemon posset and sticky toffee pudding to finish. The wine and champagne that accompanied flowed. Signature cocktails of Spicy Margaritas and Mojitos were served after dinner, and later in the evening guests enjoyed tacos from a Mexican food truck. Georgia’s Aunt made a beautiful 3 tier wedding cake that featured handmade sugar flowers.
