Blair Bosshardt and Ben Caldwell live in D.C. and got engaged at the Poetry Inn Napa Valley in January 2024, before going skiing at Lake Tahoe (hence the escort display with the little ski gondolas).

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Blair chose an elegant silk dress designed by Martina Liana, from a bridal boutique in Washington, DC. The elegant draped neckline with pearls and cinched bodice fit her perfectly! She accessorized with her Something Blue heels from Manolo Blahnik.[/field]

Blair’s ladies each chose their own blue dress — she wanted them to feel beautiful and comfortable on her wedding day! A mixture of solid and floral prints and shades ranging from sky blue to dusty blue harmonized together.

[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]Ben and his groomsmen sported classic black tuxedos from Hive and Colony. Ben’s tux was custom made and included a special liner of wine bottles as a nod to their wedding location in Napa Valley![/field]

Food and Drink was especially important to the couple and the Four Seasons exceeded expectations. Wine played a prominent role throughout the wedding day, from the symbolic wine pour during the ceremony, guests signing wine bottles as the guest book and the couple entered the reception with magnum champagne bottles that they popped and then poured into guests’ glasses! Guests dined on Farmer’s Market Salad with local ingredients, Beef Short Rib and Carrot Cake was served for dessert. Each course had a suggested wine pairing that guests could enjoy.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Lush blue and white florals were prominent throughout the special day. From the aisle florals lining the ceremony walk way and the stunning arch serving as a lovely focal point for the couple during their ceremony. A custom bar with their monogram was created for the cocktail hour. The al fresco reception featured beautiful blue print linens and delectable florals lining the tables. One of the most fun and personal touches included the custom gondola seating wall, as a nod to the couple’s love story and proposal! Guests loved it![/field]

The wedding cake was a 2 tier carrot cake with buttercream icing, that was decorated with fluffy blue hydrangeas.

The gondola seating wall was a nod to their engagement, where they skied in Lake Tahoe. It read “Taking Love to New Heights” and tables were favorite skiing mountains, including Jungfrau in Switzerland for the newlyweds’ table.

The beautiful watercolor invitation suite was custom designed and featured watercolors of the Napa scenery, the venue and a map of the various weekend locations.
