Set at the bride’s grandparents’ lush, waterfront home, this celebration blended tropical garden party whimsy with deeply personal touches. Custom linens, painted dance floors, layered textures, and hand-tied orchids brought this vision to life in a space that felt elevated, joyful, and unique to the couple.

In January 2020, Cole moved to Manhattan’s Upper West Side, while Kick was living in the West Village. Although proximity was on their side, the pandemic sent Kick back home to Florida. Two years later, they met at the wedding of Cole’s cousin, who happened to be Kick’s childhood friend. Cole was instantly captivated by Kick’s beauty, while she was amused by Cole’s retro ’70s charm. Despite their collegiate rivalry, Kick a Georgia Bulldog, Cole a Florida Gator, the two bonded that evening and left thinking only of each other. They met again the following day, curious to see if there was more to the spark. There was. Their connection went beyond chemistry—they shared the same faith, values, and outlook on life. Cole quickly realized he needed to pursue her. A long-distance relationship followed, built on phone calls, FaceTime, and frequent flyer miles. One year later, Kick moved back to New York, and life together began in earnest. From concerts and sporting events to church, travel, and yoga, they quickly realized all their favorite things were better done together.

Kick found her dream dress at the bridal boutique in Jupiter, Florida, Brides by Lola Dré. They ensured everything was flawless from start to finish. The vision was a whimsical, beachy bride, brought to life in a custom Mira Zwillinger gown. Kick chose the timeless New Fiona silhouette with a low scoop back, airy tulle, and sweetheart neckline. For a touch of ocean-inspired shimmer, she swapped the original appliqué for the ‘Sunn’ lace from Mira’s Spring 2025 collection, which featured large floral motifs and sequins. A shawl and cathedral-length veil completed the look for the ceremony.

different color within the wedding’s palette. Ellie created stunning monochrome bouquets to match each gown, adding cohesion and elegance.[/field]

Groomsmen wore suits from Suit Supply, while Cole donned a custom tuxedo. For the Friday night festivities, Cole wore a bespoke Alan David NYC suit, and Kick wore an Oscar de la Renta gown.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Guests dined on a locally inspired menu starting with a Palm Beach salad and followed
by a duo entrée of filet with burgundy demi-glace and macadamia-crusted grouper.
Late-night treats included brown butter rice krispie bites, while synchronized service at
the head table stunned guests and added a dramatic, luxurious touch.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Ellie’s floral designs blended organic elegance with tropical color, while orchids hand-tied by the Mother of the Bride and her best friend added a sentimental and sculptural layer to the landscape. Ikebana-style arrangements allowed guests to see each other through lush floral landscapes, and potted plants echoed Kick’s love of gardening. Ellie sourced Sandersonia aurantiaca—delicate orange bell flowers—that added a whimsical, unexpected charm to the design. Finishing touches like spiraled orange peels and overflowing bushels of grapes brought a sense of abundance and playfulness, grounding the ethereal florals with tactile, edible beauty.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The wedding cake was a vintage-piped beauty in the bride’s favorite shade of green, filled with cookies and cream, a sweet nod to Cole. The topper had been
passed down from the bride’s maternal grandmother, used previously on both her
parents’ and eldest sister’s wedding cakes.[/field]

Kick launched Studio Kick in 2023 and took on the challenge of designing her own wedding stationery. A meticulous artist, she included subtle personal details throughout. The invitation gatefold featured painted constellations representing the couple’s astrological signs. Programs showed a bamboo cross entwined with vines, a homage to the church steeple’s stained glass verse: “I am the vine; you are the branches.” After a year of painting, editing, and collaborating with printers TPI Solutions and Arzbergers, every piece, from Save the Dates to the dance floor wrap, reflected Kick’s personal touch.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Kick’s best friend, Olivia Massie, founder of textile studio Maison Venu, played a pivotal
role in the wedding’s design. A fellow art school graduate, Olivia created the
custom-colored linens that defined the event. Cocktail tables, dinner tables, and even the
band’s backdrop were adorned with her vibrant Tuileries pattern in two colorways:
pink/orange and blue/green. Floor-length and vivid, the linens brought joy and vibrancy
to every corner.[/field]

The clear-top Orangerie tent was a showstopper. It stretched across the full width of the backyard, nestled among towering oaks and palms, with the sunset sky casting a golden glow above. The concept was first suggested by Nick at Regency Party Rentals, who not only envisioned the structure but ensured every detail was flawlessly executed. The result was immersive and magical, an unforgettable atmosphere that words can only partially capture.
