A Love Story That’s Truly Out of This World When a diamond concierge meets a rocket scientist, you know the love story is going to be extraordinary. Michelle Demaree, the founder of Miss Diamond Ring, has dedicated her life to crafting bespoke engagement rings that reflect the beauty of love. But when she met Paul, an aerospace engineer at SpaceX, her own love story began to unfold—one that was equal parts grounded and celestial. With quiet sincerity, Paul planned a surprise getaway to the Rosewood Miramar Beach, where he proposed to Michelle at sunset, barefoot along the shore. Of course, he knew better than to choose the ring himself. “I’m not dumb enough to do this without you,” he laughed. Michelle selected a six-carat oval diamond, set on a sparkling, softly domed pavé band with a hidden infinity symbol beneath the setting—an eternal emblem of their love. But the most incredible detail? Before the ring was ever made, Paul arranged for the gold that would become her ring to be sent into space on a SpaceX rocket. It’s not just a diamond ring—it’s a love story written in the stars.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Michelle fell in love with not one, but two enchanting Mira Zwillinger gowns—each a dream in its own right. The ceremony gown, Karlee, featured a strapless sweetheart neckline and a sculpted silhouette that embodied elegance and grace, adorned with ethereal floral appliqués that felt straight out of a fairy tale. For the reception, she changed into Mishi, a flirty mini dress paired with delicate floral lace gloves—perfect for twirling beneath the stars. Michelle chose NWLA for the deeply personal bridal experience with the owner Nadia, and with the expert styling of Sam Ruiz, every gown and detail for her spring wedding soiree came together flawlessly.[/field]

Field to Table Events curated a feast of fresh, organic cuisine that delighted every guest, while Flair Project Bartending kept spirits high with an unforgettable cocktail experience. Custom signature drinks included “Paul’s Picante,” a fiery take on his beloved spicy margarita; “Michelle’s Moonstruck Martini,” a luminous blend of rhubarb vodka, grilled peach, ginger, lime, and pink grapefruit; and the crowd favorite, “Rocket Fuel,” a refreshing mix of mint, lime, cucumber, and marjoram gin. Adding a meaningful touch, each drink was adorned with a paper-clipped love quote, allowing guests to unfold a little piece of inspiration with every sip.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Sharon Lopez of Knot Just Flowers brought Michelle’s floral vision to life with breathtaking artistry. The centuries-old oak tree beneath which Michelle and Paul exchanged vows was adorned with a cascading canopy of garden roses in soft blush, ivory, and pastel pink—transforming the space into a living fairytale. The aisle was lined with a dreamy palette of spring florals in rainbow pastels, creating a whimsical path that felt straight out of a storybook.[/field]

Laurie at Room For Cake made a beautiful 3-tier white and pastel floral cake that had a watercolor effect to it. Flavors ranged from chocolate, white chocolate, raspberry, to coconut and confetti (for the little ones).

Ryan Haddon, Michelle’s breathwork and life coach for several years, became an officiant specifically to marry Michelle and Paul. This was, in many ways, the culmination of the work they had done together. Realizing self-love within, and calling in true love with her soulmate, Paul.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

One of the most tender moments of the ceremony came when Paul, in becoming not only a husband but also a stepfather, honored Michelle’s 10-year-old daughter, Charlotte. As a symbol of their new family bond, he presented her with a custom-made gold necklace featuring a star for Charlotte, a heart for Michelle, and a rocket for himself—a deeply personal gesture of love and unity. In a poetic touch that echoed their celestial love story, the gold used to craft the necklace had also been flown to space.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The heart, rocket and star, representing the new family of three, were integrated throughout the entire wedding, on the invitations, the menu, the signs and ultimately the necklace Paul gifted Charlotte. [/field]
