Shades of pinks and oranges with hues of blues! The color palette of this wedding is a vibrant mix of warm and cool tones, creating a lively and elegant atmosphere. The dominant colors include soft pinks, peach, coral, and magenta, bringing a warm, romantic feel to the floral arrangements. These hues are complemented by splashes of deep blue found in the decorative accents, adding a sophisticated contrast. The palette is grounded with natural tones like white, from the table linens, and earthy browns from the leather armchairs and wooden chairs.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]
Both of our families have always loved traveling to Mexico, especially Los Cabos, since we were very young. We like to call it our “happy place.” Flora Farms has become one of our favorite spots when we visit Cabo, so it was an easy decision to have our wedding there. The food is incredible, the staff is incredibly kind, and the entire place holds such a special beauty for us. Now, we can always look back on having the best day of our lives there and look forward to creating even more memories in the many years to come. This place will forever hold a special place in our hearts. What was your vision for your wedding? When I first started planning our special day, I was a bit all over the place with ideas. I LOVE planning parties and creating amazing reasons for people to come together, so I was eager to make everything perfect. I began by saving countless images of weddings, fun events, florals, and different color schemes. The common theme in all my ideas was that I wanted our wedding weekend to radiate happiness and feel like one big vacation and party for our family and guests. Without Amy and her team, I wouldn’t have been able to bring my scattered ideas together. They did a phenomenal job of beautifully uniting everything into a perfect celebration. Did you work with a wedding planner or day-of coordinator? We worked with Amy Abbott! And her rockstar assistant, Cristina! We are so grateful for them and now consider them lifelong friends.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]
We met in the fall of 2015 during our freshman year of college at the University of Denver. We played on the lacrosse teams there, and our teams did everything together. We were friends for the longest time, and then became more than friends… And now the rest is history! We got engaged in June of 2023 on the Seine in Paris. It was a dream! Dylan had done the Nice, France Iron Man the day before and we flew out to Paris the following day to celebrate and relax. Little did I know he had been proposing to me up his sleeve the entire trip!

Wedding dress designer: Lela Rose Fabric/Description: Magnolia fabric with scooped backing. I went in with zero expectations but had an idea of what style I “thought” I would like. It ended up being the second dress I put on! I knew that my dress was “the one” because when I had tried others on after loving my dress, I always kept going back to it. Dress shopping can be exhausting, and I lucked out. What other fashion accessories did you wear (Jewelry, Shoes, Belt, Veil, etc.)? -Ceremony Veil: Carolina Herrera -Reception Veil: Custom mini veil – (made at Donna Beth, my wedding dress alteration store). -Earrings: Jennifer Behr -I wore my mother’s original wedding band on my right hand -Wedding Shoes: Jimmy Choo -Reception Shoes: Loeffler Randall -After Party Shoes: Golden Goose Late night dress: I chopped my mom’s wedding dress into a mini! All of my bridesmaids wore dresses of their choice! My favorite color is pink, and I wanted them to be in a dress that they loved and felt confident in, so I let them decide.

We wanted to go with a timeless tux look, but also have Dylan stand out from his groomsmen and guests. He wore an ivory tux jacket, with dark navy pants, dark navy tux shoes, a dark navy bow tie with white detailing, and navy skull and cross-bone suspenders. Groom Suit: Wedding: -Shoes: Magnanni -Tux Jacket & Tux Pants: Canali -Suspenders: Dion -Pocket Square: G. Inglese -Bow tie: Dion. He wore skull and crossbones suspenders that we loved under his tux jacket. We did traditional black tuxes! We had always wanted to do a black-tie wedding.

Flora Farm has fabulous food, so it made our menu selections incredibly easy. We wanted everything to be in season. Late-night pizza was a must for us! Did you have a signature cocktail? Yes! We wanted to honor our golden retriever, Boone, whom we couldn’t bring down to Mexico with us, so we did “Boone’s Bar” and selected 4 signature drinks.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]
This wedding style blends elegant outdoor elements with vibrant Mexican hints. The tables are set with white linens and adorned with colorful floral arrangements in pinks, peaches, and corals. Mexican touches include embroidered napkins and intricately carved wax candles that add artisanal charm. Hues of blue in the décor, with that candle, provide a striking contrast against the warm floral palette. Natural woven chairs and rustic leather armchairs offer a relaxed yet sophisticated seating arrangement. Bride’s bouquet: Peonies, Phalaenopsis, Garden roses.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]
Ceremony décor (altar, flowers, aisle runner, etc.): Our families have a blend of religions, so we wanted to make sure we were able to have everyone honored! We had a beautifully made chuppah & a unity candle table. This wedding ceremony style features a stunning garden theme with a lush floral huppah as the centerpiece. The huppah is elegantly shaped with an organic, arching structure, draped in cascading greenery and adorned with an abundance of vibrant flowers in pink, orange, red, and yellow hues. The flowers are densely arranged, creating a wild yet sophisticated look that flows naturally over the frame. The lush greenery and hanging floral arrangements add depth and texture, making the huppah a breathtaking focal point. The outdoor setting, surrounded by greenery and trees, enhances the natural atmosphere. Large terra cotta pots filled with overflowing floral arrangements line the aisle, adding rustic charm. The wooden chairs provide a casual yet sophisticated seating arrangement, perfectly complementing the garden ambiance. Who walked you down the aisle? My father walked me down the aisle, and both of Dylan’s parents walked him down. Did you write your vows? Yes, we wrote our vows! Did they include any special quotes/anecdotes or readings? Not sure what to put here…so here are two lines from each of our vows! Maddie: “As a little girl, I never really knew how I wanted my wedding to be, or what I envisioned my future husband would be like. I just knew that I wanted to be constantly happy, to always have fun, and to have unwavering support. Thank you for providing me the love I never knew I needed, and for being the partner that surpasses my dreams. You have given me a love that is patient, kind, and unconditional.” Maddie: “Thank you for loving the parts of me that are not easy to love. When I’m with you, no matter where we are, it feels like home. My love and marriage to you is a lifelong commitment. I promise to love you through the good times and the bad. I promise to always be quick to forgive and always be on the same team.” Dylan: “I will always chase you. You make every day a great one, and your smile, happiness, and bubbly are infectious. You are always the best part of my day. I promise to try to reciprocate that happiness and optimism, especially on the odd days you can’t.” Dylan: “I can’t believe that his day is finally here, and I am so excited to continue this journey with you as my wife. You are the most beautiful person I know, and more importantly, the nicest, most optimistic, and happiest person. Being in your presence is truly an everyday blessing. You make loving you easy.” We had live music and a singer, violin, and harp! It was beautiful. Our pre-processional songs were: XO by John Mayer Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole Make You Feel My Love by Adele Here comes the sun by The Beatles Yellow by Coldplay The song for when family walks down the aisle: La Vie En Rose by the Emily Watts Version Song for bridesmaids and groomsmen to walk down the aisle to. She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5 Acoustic Song for the bride to walk down the aisle to: Can’t Help Falling in Love by the Haley Reinhart Version Recessional song: The Will Be by Natalie Cole. We had a live band, Kilometro! First dance song: I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch) by Four Tops. Father-daughter dance song: My Little Girl by Tim McGraw. On our wedding day, we hosted a cornhole tournament in the morning for our guests that was hosted by Dylan and his Groomsmen! I DIYed all of the cornhole boards, painted them, and made the bags. Also, our “guest book” was a surfboard that the moms created and designed as a surprise for Dylan and I.
