The couple kept their wedding colors very elevated and simple. French Blue, Candlelight Whites, and Creams were at the forefront of their designs. They also included a lot of deep greenery for their ceremony floral, which was a beautiful contrast against the lighter shades.
Kiley & Charles wanted their wedding to have a very intimate, romantic, and garden feel –and they got just that! It was a rainy day, which created a special ambiance for their guests as they arrived at the venue. The weather cleared up right before the ceremony, so they were still able to take their romantic couple’s portraits at golden hour.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]
Kiley and Charles’ love story began with a swipe on Bumble, but it was fate—and a surprising twist—that truly brought them together. Early in their conversations, they discovered they lived on the same street in La Jolla, just seven houses apart. This serendipitous detail made their connection feel like destiny. Born 11 days apart, Kiley in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Charles in Louisville, Kentucky, their lives had taken different paths before converging in California. Their story began the day before their first date when they ran into each other by chance at Bird Rock Coffee Roasters. Sparks flew instantly, and by the time they met for their official first date at Calumet Park, Charles had already charmed Kiley with a picturesque picnic overlooking the ocean. Their love flourished through adventures, and they spent their summers traveling. Charles planned a romantic proposal at a beach in La Jolla, CA, and the rest is history!

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]
Kiley, the bride, absolutely loves watercolors, so she chose to have a guestbook filled with watercolor images of La Jolla for guests to sign. The tables were also named after important locations to the couple, with beautiful watercolor images of those specific spots.

Phalaenopsis orchids are also one of Kiley’s favorite flowers, so she made sure to find a way to incorporate them into her wedding day. They were found in the ceremony florals in addition to being highlighted in the groom’s boutonnière.
