an enchanting garden ceremony

garden wedding in tuscany at historic villa

Sara and Justin’s wedding was a spectacular three-day event held at the stunning Villa Catignano, a venue nestled in the heart of Tuscany near Siena where most of the guests were staying. The heat of the wedding day was balanced by the beauty of the surroundings. The ceremony took place in the villa’s enchanting gardens, offering breathtaking views of Siena in the distance. As guests watched Sara and Justin exchange vows, the picturesque setting made it even more magical. With seven groomsmen, including the best man, and ten bridesmaids, including the maid of honor, their wedding party was filled with loved ones ready to celebrate this special occasion.

Dinner was served in Villa Catignano’s renowned courtyard, where a large U-shaped table had been arranged for the guests. The Extraordinaire’s attention to detail in the table setting was remarkable: floral plates in white and burnt orange with gold rims, contemporary white and gold cutlery, and tulip-shaped glasses with gold accents. Overhead, string lights twinkled, and the table was adorned with delicate floral arrangements by Stiatti Fiori, in white, orange, and pale blue hues, set atop a pale blue runner. The entire scene was a blend of elegance and rustic charm, perfectly suited to the couple’s vision.

Following the ceremony, guests moved to the back gardens for aperitifs. A charming vintage bicycle was used to present Aperol spritz refreshments, adding a whimsical touch to the cocktail hour. The Tuscan countryside stretched out behind them, and as the sun began to set, the sky blazed with colors, creating the most spectacular backdrop.

As the evening continued, Sara and Justin took to the middle of the U-shaped table for their first dance. They danced on vintage straw rugs, a personal and unique touch that felt warm and intimate.

Sara started the day with her girls in what is probably the most stunning bridal suite we’ve ever seen, with floor-to-ceiling frescos that we could go on about for days, but these photos speak for themselves! She then slipped into a beautiful lace gown with a detailed corset and nude lining that complemented the warm tones of the Italian countryside. Justin also leaned into a neutral color palette with a beautifully tailored tan linen suit.
