Fast forward to January 2023, Elizabeth and I had shared our love not with each other, but also with our newly inherited Bombay cat, Abner. At this point, we had traveled around the world, experienced the joys of life and both ready to embrace the next chapter. I had planned a dinner at our favorite local steakhouse in Atlanta but without her knowing her parents would be there waiting for us. On the way to dinner, I detoured to our favorite park under the guise of wanting to show her a picturesque update of the walking trail. I had pre-placed a note under the park bench that I then told Elizabeth to grab. When she opened the note, it read “close your eyes” and at that point I went to one-knee and said, “now open them”. It was a perfectly private moment shared by just the two of us.

Today, I’m married to the love of my life, and she’s my best friend, my confidante, and my biggest supporter. We’ll navigate life’s ups and downs together, knowing that we always have each other to lean on.[/field]
