Both designers by trade, Cecilia & David wanted their wedding to reflect their preferences for modern, moody design while embracing a fall palette to reflect the season. Against a sleek foundation of greys and blacks, tones of yellow, burnt orange, and deep greens were highlighted throughout the florals and bridesmaids dresses.

They loved the classic architecture of Flood Mansion and intricate detailing and wanted to create contrast with a cool, moody vibe – full of deep colors and warm candlelight, creating a cozy intimacy in the grandeur of the great hall of the mansion. Design elements were purposefully sleek, modern, and fun.

Cecilia & David wanted their Korean heritage reflected in the flavors for their wedding, and Foxtail delivered with a spread of Korean-American flavors in every dish. Classic slow-braised short rib was served with a spicy gochujang glaze, and autumn was celebrated with their spiced apple refreshers and butternut squash starter.

We worked with Laura’s Floras to develop an autumnal palette throughout our florals, starting with the illusion arch that framed the doorway of the ceremony backdrop. Laura incorporated fall foliage as well as clusters of persimmons, which represent good fortune in Korean culture. These autumnal elements were carried into the reception arrangements as well, lush with roses, phlox, gingko, and seed pods.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]
Cecilia & David decided to forego a wedding cake and instead served mini chocolate dipped churros.
