From early on Maggie (bride) knew she wanted a large impact with color! Her love for summer is endless and we wanted to make sure that was brought forth in the design. Maggie told me (SKE) that her favorite colors were green and yellow. You will notice many green and yellow moments throughout Maggie and Chris’s entire wedding. A pop of yellow on their signage, and green toile linens from Peak Events, which also inspired their way in the invite design..Show-stopping yellow florals dancing across the Tuscan tables. Upon entry into the tent Stephanie King Events, dreamed up and executed a 14’ rounded bar where guests were greeted. The mink drapery paired with crystal chandeliers was one of a kind and a dreamy design! We wanted guests to feel less like sailcloth tents, and more like fine dining. The chunky wishbone chairs were a statement of their own and comfortable for guests to enjoy dinner in. The black and white checkered dance floor added a layer of fun to the high-end affair. There was thought in every single detail, and it all started with Maggie’s love for summer and color.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Chris had planned a date night with Maggie at her favorite restaurant, Strega, in the North End of Boston. The couple frequents this area for date nights to share their love of Italian food so this wasn’t out of the ordinary for them. After parking the car, Chris started to lead them in the opposite direction, getting closer to the Boston Harbor. They were eventually greeted by a friend who welcomed them onto one of his SailTime Boston boats. They set sail as the sun set over the harbor and Chris got down on one knee as two of Maggie’s best friends snuck up from the cabin to capture the moment with photography and videography. After sailing around and toasting champagne, Maggie was surprised by both her and Chris’s closest friends and family at Tuscan Kitchen in the Seaport for a night of celebrating their engagement!

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]

Maggie found her wedding gown at L’elite Bridal in Boston- the gown was a luxe Ines Di Santo dress. It had delicate lace detailing, and boning that was show-stopping, and the silhouette draped her to perfection. This was THE DRESS. Maggie changed into a stunning custom Bremelia mini that was designed from start to finish for her and her only! It featured a corset, intricate lace pearls, and tulle details and was truly perfect for dancing the night away.

On The Marc catered the wedding affair! Some delish bites that were featured throughout the cocktail hour were spicy tuna on crispy rice, mini lobster rolls, a Thai chicken lettuce cup, and much more. The salumi carved station was a guest favorite that was set up with a vintage meat slicer. The Filet Mignon that most guests enjoyed for dinner was mouth-watering and featured creme fraiche, potatoes, asparagus, onion rings, and a special OTM steak sauce.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The ceremony florals are what guests first see upon arrival. Wild Dahlia put her magic touch as colorful florals cascaded up the tree and aisle blooms brought color and happiness into the day. The signage and tent featured all the most colorful blooms that danced with the wind. The main tent entrance was draped with milk drape, greenery, and baskets of lush florals.

The night before was hosted in the Barn at Willow Hill. Close family and friends dined in the barn that featured fun sage green sofas, acrylic chairs, and fun floral printed linens. SKE wanted the night before to be a sneak into the day but not give too much away. There were small pops of what to expect the next day such as the cigar bar which had Maggie and Chris’s green toile print from their invites on the front, that were also the wedding day menu design. Bevi’s bar cart also had a pop of Maggie and Chris. Guests were handed signature drinks with a butterfly attached. The butterfly was featured in their invites custom drawn by Lexi Mayde.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The espresso martini ice luge was a hit! This was a fun moment that added another layer of wow to their special day. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

With the bride’s collaboration, Wall to Wall Inc. and Stephanie King Events made Maggie’s signage dreams come true! The table numbers had a pearl opalescent shimmer to them which perfectly matched the flatware that was featured on the table! The pearl table number font and material, also made their own moment as a header for the seating chart, on the card box, and bar sign! As you could have guessed, yellow made its way into the napkins which featured the same monogram that was on the ice luge!
