[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Our vision was a color filled day that would represent the joy we feel being together. We wanted to capture this beautifully in a natural setting with the vistas and rolling hills. California cool, meets sophisticated garden/vineyard with organic touches. The complete outdoor setting fit us well since we both find such peace in nature. Our vision came to life with designer/planner Nicole Alexandra Designs completely by our sides guiding us along the way. The overall design hit every note for us and completely exceeded all of our desires. Fairytale day from start to finish!

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Our first conversations lasted for many, many hours. There was instant chemistry between the two of us, it was a truly magical feeling getting to know one another. During our first “meet” we talked for so long, we were the only two left in the restaurant. It was clear that our life journeys and vision of the future were similar. Our first date was a visit to the Getty Villa in Malibu. It was here, as we strolled through the galleries and gardens that we fell in love. Every time we were together there was always laughter, good times and joy. One year later, during a beautiful dinner date, Jim proposed to Alina and Alina enthusiastically said “yes,YES”!

We knew that because of the magic of our first date, that we wanted to be married in Malibu. We wanted it to be outdoors, surrounded by nature and the love of our family and friends.[/field]

[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Food & Drink”]All food & drink was provided by the Pausmith Group.

Guests were greeted with Champagne upon arrival to the ceremony. Followed by an open bar for cocktail Hour featuring the couples signature drinks – A cosmopolitan, and a Mango Ciapirinha.

For Dinner, to start guests were served Housemade Artisan Breads, grilled and brushed with olive oil, and served with herb butter.

The first course was a bright avocado citrus salad.

Followed by a choice of Slow Braised Beef Short Ribs, Vegan Lasagne, or Pan Seared Branzino for the main course. With sides of Pommes Puree, and Charred Brussels sprouts.

For a late night snack, guests were served everyone’s favourite food – Pizza! (and a play on the bride’s New York roots) [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The Bride and Groom wanted to create an elegant garden/vineyard vibe that was still modern and organic. Nicole Alexandra Designs worked with Tularosa Flowers to bring this vision to life. The main flowers used were peonies, garden roses and a splash of poppies to create a distinct uniqueness. The bride and groom mentioned that the design and florals ‘completely knocked their socks off!’

For the ceremony winding path of florals down the aisle lead to the show stopping floral arch at the end.

For the reception, tables were dressed with white embossed jacquard linens. Layered with scalloped ivory chargers, and a a garden inspired printed dinner plate, crystal glassware, lush floral centerpieces, and green taper candles. Menus and table signage by Swell Press carried through the floral/garden motif, as well as the color scheme – in greens and pinks/peaches.

Floral garlands with string lights hung above the tables, as well as the monogrammed dancefloor and created a wow moment for the guests. This achieved an intimate, cozy feel for the evening of dancing.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The cake was created by Lila Cakeshop. The 4 tier cake was decorated with gorgeous peonies (the brides favourite flower). Each tier was a different flavour. Lemon Blueberry, Pistachio Rose, Lemon Honey Lavender, & Strawberry Shortcake. [/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The officiant Chris Dickens @yourcustomceremony counseled the bride and groom with part of that including assigned “homework” to complete. The Bride and Groom each answered questions the officiant would reveal by reading them at the wedding ceremony. This was a beautiful touch, that brought tears of joy to them both and their guests. Equal parts sweet, heartfelt and fun.

For music, songs were performed by Orchid Quartet.
the groom entered to a custom string version of All My Life by K-Ci & JoJo. The two bridesmaids walked to ‘XO’ by Beyonce, and the Bride to Jesu Joy of Mans Desiring.

The couples recessional was the Wedding March.

Reception Songs:

Bride and Groom reception entrance: “Me and You” Tems
First Dance: “So Into You” Jac Ross/Tamia mix
