Joshua and Keely’s love story began in an operating room in Nashville, Tennessee, when their professional paths crossed, and their connection began to bloom. It wasn’t long before Joshua proposed during a 4th of July weekend visit to Keely’s family property. Set against the backdrop of Arkansas’s premier vineyard venue, Joshua and Keely celebrated their love story with an elegant black and white wedding at Rusty Tractor Vineyards. The couple chose the stunning vineyard setting for its perfect blend of sophistication and natural beauty. Captured by Lauren Haley Photography and planned with the help of Kaitie Gill Weddings, this wedding is the perfect inspo for any bride looking for “simple yet sophisticated.”
Timeless B & W wedding style
The bride looked radiant in her gown from The Bridal Cottage, with hair styling by Jessica Brazil with DWB & Co. and makeup by Tyler Richards creating her perfect bridal look. The groom and his party were handsomely dressed in Jos A. Bank attire. The wedding rings, sourced from Consider the Wldflwrs in Nashville, Tennessee, symbolized the couple’s commitment with unique beauty.
Elegant black dresses with individuality
The bridesmaids each selected their own unique black dresses, maintaining the elegant color scheme while expressing their individual style.

Hanging wisteria & plenty of petals
Wedding planner Kaitie Gill helped bring their sophisticated vision to life, while the mother-of-the-bride, Laura Meyer, crafted the beautiful floral arrangements. The celebration was filled with personal touches, including one particularly memorable moment when Keely’s niece took her flower girl duties to heart, enthusiastically showering guests with flower petals as she made her way down the aisle with unmistakable sass and charm. The ceremony was officiated by Dr. Dale Blasier, and harpist Alisa Coffey added an ethereal touch to the proceedings with her musical talents.
Capturing “blue hour” photography
The entire day was captured artfully by their photographer Lauren Haley Photography. Planner Kaitie Gill shared, “Keely had envisioned capturing golden hour pictures, but due to the early sunset in October, they ended up taking photos post-sunset. Working closely with her photographer, I must say that the results exceeded expectations and have become some of my all-time favorites. It serves as a gentle reminder that even when things deviate from the original plan, they can often unfold in ways more beautiful than we could have imagined.”
Traditional favorites with an upscale twist
Vibrant Occasions Catering crafted an exceptional dining experience that began with an elegant cocktail hour. Guests were treated to sophisticated passed hors d’oeuvres including Caprese pipettes that cleverly combined fresh mozzarella, heirloom tomato, and basil with aged balsamic in an interactive presentation. Traditional favorites got an upscale twist with golden-brown pigs-in-a-blanket coins made from spicy kielbasa wrapped in flaky puff pastry, while Cajun shrimp shooters with house-made cocktail sauce added a touch of Southern flair.
Creating a sophisticated main course buffet
The main course buffet featured Cabernet-braised prime black angus brisket alongside blackened chicken breast with Cajun cream sauce, all complemented by thoughtfully prepared sides. The menu perfectly balanced sophisticated flavors with crowd-pleasing favorites, earning enthusiastic praise from guests throughout the evening.
Telephone booth audio guestbook
Guests left messages and well-wishes for the couple in their audio guestbook modelled after a vintage telephone booth.
Have your cake and eat it too
Sweet Lavender Bake Shop created a memorable dessert display featuring two distinctive cakes – a classic carrot cake for the groom and a sophisticated strawberry cake with champagne icing for the bride, both of which became instant favorites among the guests.
Dance until the fabulous sparkler exit
Live music from the Big John Miller Band kept the celebration lively leading up to when the happy couple exited with a fabulous sparkler exit.
After-the-fact advice
When asked about wedding planning advice, Keely’s response was refreshingly straightforward: “Get exactly what you want if you can. It’s your only day!” This philosophy was evident in every carefully chosen detail of their celebration, and the couple is looking forward to following this same philosophy as they continue their celebration on their honeymoon in Italy in the fall.
