A total of 34 countries have the marriage for all. In Europe, 19 States have opened up marriage to same-sex couples. Outside of Europe, five to ten more countries allow marriage for lesbians and Gay men.

The Overview shows that there has been in many European countries, a trend towards marriage.
First, it was created for lesbians and Gays, a special partnership Institute which was called in the countries of marriage in which the partners had from the beginning to have the same rights and obligations as spouses.
