an emergency engagement
With some help from friends and colleagues, Zach staged a “faux code” for his ER doctor fiance at her work, surprising her in the ambulance bay at dawn, complete with champagne, donuts, and a 19th-century antique ring. Molly said yes instantly.
the vibe: 60s flower child
The couple wed beneath an oak tree at Grassini Family Vineyards before 250 friends and family. Their ceremony featured cherished friends and notable figures from medicine, music, and entertainment, including Lana Del Rey, Alex Turner of Arctic Monkeys, and Abbi Jacobson, who played a special role in the proposal. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails and Grassini Family wines.
the invitations
From the perfectly on-trend deco-inspired font to the romantic blue, blush, and gold color palette, we love how this invitation suite incorporated all of the details from the wedding design.
the fashion
There aren’t enough words to express how obsessed we are with Molly’s dress choice! From the color to the asymmetrical cut and romantic floral lace, literally, everything about this dress is perfection. Zach looked equally dapper in a black suit and matching tie.
The couple exchanged meaningful rings—Molly’s father’s gold band for Zach and her grandmother’s diamond band for herself.
cocktail hour
It really doesn’t get better than an outdoor cocktail hour that also happens to overlap with “golden hour”, the most photogenic and temperate part of the day. Guests were treated to mixed drinks and local wine as they relaxed in gorgeous lounge setups featuring mid-century modern tables and chairs.
the escort display
Dark green escort cards on a raw pine backdrop helped guests find their table. The same deco-inspired font and floral motif from the invitations made an appearance on this display as well. It’s little details like this that really help a wedding design feel cohesive.
the favors
You know we love a favor that guests will actually use and these hats are a perfect example! Guests could choose from black and pink hats embroidered with the vineyard’s logo.
