Intimate Fairytale Wedding At Bear Flag Farm

Vanessa Pence Events sought to create a wedding that resembled the fairytale type of love Hannah and Will found in each other and to share in their family-focused intimate celebration. The couple said “I do” in front of 75 guests at Bear Flag Farm located just outside of Sacramento. The lush landscape filled with almond orchards, lavender fields, and roaming bunnies was the perfect backdrop for their classic and enchanting day.

Hannah and Will met on Hinge at the beginning of 2021, while Hannah was visiting her parents in the Bay Area. They knew after their first date at the drive-in movie theater that this was something they couldn’t let go of but Hannah had to fly back to Austin where she lived and Will had just taken a new job in Colorado. After six months of long-distance dating, they both decided to move back to the Bay Area, where both of their families resided, and take their relationship to the next level. Six short months later they were engaged with plans to get married the following summer.

Hannah fell in love with a show-stopping Berta Bridal ball gown, covered in a full sparkle fabric with a corseted bodice and delicate Swarovski crystal straps. A gown perfectly fitting for this fairytale bride.

Bear Flag Farm offered a true farm-to-table experience for guests, from start to finish. Guests were greeted with lavender-infused lemonade upon arrival, with fresh lavender harvested right from the fields that encompass the ceremony grounds. Cocktail hour took place in the citrus grove where guests enjoyed small bites and seasonal drinks before they were escorted to dinner where the Bear Flag Farm catering team really shined with their 5-star service and thoughtfully curated menu that rivals the top caterers in the Bay Area. Guests were sent home with Bear Flag Farm’s signature lavender shortbread cookies, sweetly wrapped and incredibly addicting.

We layered etched chargers, dinnerware, and glassware from Theoni Collection atop beautiful linen fabric tablecloths from BBJ La Tavola on the dinner tabletops, adding a feminine and enchanting flair. Flower Girl Em reigned in the design with cascading blooms of lush white roses, babies breath, and greenery throughout the spaces. [/field]

We opted for a simple buttercream cake from Freeport Bakery and enveloped it in a stunning floral crest of white blooms and greenery – as if the cake were sitting amidst a field of flowers.
