[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Our clients envisioned a fresh modern garden for their wedding day. Although the wedding was indoors, garden elements were brought into the design and the Four Seasons Ballroom was in full bloom. Key floral features included a beautiful white four post chuppah. A garland of fresh green and white hydrangeas wrapped around the structure and designed to look like they grew there. Guests enjoyed the ceremony from under the canopy of two custom designed large ficus trees. Later the ceremony space would be converted into a formal reception area. Guests dined under the trees and were transported into a beautiful spring garden detailed with an abundance of fresh florals. [/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Liad and I met in 2018 on Hinge! It was a new dating app at the time and after receiving a message via Instagram about my new puppy named Juliet, we hit it off immediately and the rest was history. We got engaged on May 3, 2022 after 4 years of dating. Now Juliet isn’t just my dog, she’s ours! Liad decided to take me on a surprise trip to New York City where he popped the question in Central Park in front of Bo Bridge. To get there from our hotel, he arranged what he thought was a horse and carriage ride that turned out to be a man on a bike who peddled us through Central Park while “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” was playing in the background. I remember Liad getting emotional; the whole experience felt like a movie. While the bike and carriage was not his original plan, it was very “us” and we wouldn’t have had it any other way! We still laugh about it to this day and have amazing photographs from our photoshoot that transpired after the proposal. Liad made it such a memorable moment that I’ll remember forever.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]I love classic wedding gowns and wanted to wear two different ones that complemented each other, but evoked a different vibe and feeling. Having multiple wedding looks is a new trend I can get behind. It’s nice to have a princess-esque bridal ball gown moment, while also getting that classic and sleek Audrey Hepburn vibe for the ceremony and party!

My first dress that I wore during the day and for our photoshoot at Knox College was designed by Enzoani. I loved the modern, yet organic bow detail that added a feminine touch to the dress, making it a memorable first look outfit. nothing beats that feeling of a ball gown on your wedding day. My second dress that I changed into right before walking down the aisle to surprise Liad was designed by Romona Keveza. Saying yes to this dress was an easy decision and one I am so happy with. Walking down the aisle in a Ramona Keveza dress was a dream. It complemented the classic European garden feel of the wedding and will stand the test of time for years to come.

[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]My bridesmaids and I all had a fun day at Avenue 22 Bridal where they tried on dresses and chose their favourite to wear for the wedding. We decided on the brand Dessy in a satin champagne colour that would highlight our garden theme as it alluded to garden statues common in Italian and French gardens. The girls all got to choose their own dress style making sure it reflected their personal taste and was comfortable to be in all day and night for the wedding. The light colour was ideal for our summer wedding and made for a light and airy feel. My ‘maids’ of honour were my brother and sister who were also technically bridesmaids. My brother wore a tuxedo from Suit Supply with Christian Leboutin shoes. My sister while simultaneously being a bridesmaid was also one of my maids of honour so naturally, she had to stand out. She had her dress made at TOMÉ Dress Salon to complement the bridesmaids dresses along with Valentino shoes. She stuck with the champagne tones, but added a twist.

[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]Liad looked so handsome in his tuxedo by Canali. He loved it from the moment he put it on. His cufflinks by David Yurman and shoes by Salvatore Ferragamo pulled the classic and chic look together for our wedding day. He always says the best idea he had was to have another dress shirt in case of stains and spills during the wedding! A game changer.

[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Food & Drink”]With the help from our wedding planner Melissa Baum, we came up with signature drinks that reflected us as a couple. We featured a Morkie in Manhattan and The Juliet as a nod to our cute teddy bear morkie who kicked off our relationship. The Morkie in Manhattan was a classic style Manhattan cocktail that featured a sugar disk with Juliet’s face motif on it. It was a literal Morkie in our guest’s Manhattans! The Juliet was a spicy margarita to reflect Juliet’s sass with a custom stir stick of our monogram that was featured on our invitations by Smudge Designs. The food was catered by the Four Season’s Hotel and was carefully planned out. For cocktail hour we chose to serve sushi as we were going to Japan for our honeymoon. For dinner, the miso and orange glazed black cod was a crowd favourite, while the wild mushroom risotto was a nod to the European inspired theme of the wedding. Molten chocolate lava cake is our favourite dessert and we were happy to include that on our wedding menu. The gelato cart was another way we incorporated European summer vibes as gelato shops are the place to be after indulging in an Italian dinner. We had custom gelato cups made with our monogram on them, and featured our favourite flavours like pistachio and coconut which matched our decor. Our late night food was sliders, fries and truffle mac and cheese. We ate our hearts out!

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Our cake was beautifully designed by Truffle Cake and Pastry. We worked directly with Christina to create a wedding cake that would look amazing stationed under our chuppah for the reception, while simultaneously complementing the aesthetics of it. She created a four tier white cake with rough edging and a soft green colour running through the fondant to match our wedding florals. We chose salted caramel and vanilla to keep the flavours light for a July wedding. The floating hydrangea effect was our focal point and was designed to look like a hydrangea from the chuppah was shedding its petals creating a beautiful cascading floral look.
