We love a wedding that uses color and decor to transition from ceremony to reception to full-on-party mode, and this couple nailed it! The day started with their all-white cliffside ceremony in Santa Barbara, the only hint of color–a bright red ribbon fastened to the bride’s bouquet. Then, the floor-level white florals were repurposed for the reception, where black chairs and bright red poppies in bud vases graced every table. As soon as the sun set, the glow of the candles reflected on strategically placed disco balls, and more red arrangements awaited guests inside the draped dance space, as well as live jazz music. the vision: monochromatic with a pop of red
Ally and Kyle envisioned a wedding that seamlessly blended timeless romance with high-energy celebration. With the help of Nicole Leza Planning & Design, their day began with an elegant all-white ceremony before transitioning into a jazz club-inspired reception filled with soulful ambiance, rich textures, and a vibrant dance party. Their love for music and unique details shaped every part of the experience. Regina Ranch was transformed into a jazz club with a twist, featuring soft draping, velvet lounge furniture, scalloped silhouettes, brass accents, and pearlescent details. Disco balls and fringe pendants added a playful, celebratory feel, balancing sophistication with fun. As their planner, I’d emphasize the importance of curating an atmosphere that reflects your personality—whether through music, design, or personal touches. Ally and Kyle did this beautifully by merging classic elegance with eclectic energy, ensuring every guest felt immersed in their world.

the food & drinks
To get the party started, guests could choose from three signature cocktails, “Chloe’s Old-Fashioned”, “Harlow’s Espresso Martini”, and “Ally & Kyle’s Ducky G&T”. But only guests in the know could order an “Ally Shot” (iykyk).
The couple treated their guests to a luxe raw oyster bar, a grazing station for elevated snacking, and late-night bites featuring mini milkshakes and sliders to keep guests fueled for the dance floor.
