Shades of forest and moss greens, subtle pops of burgundy with pops of plum and peachier tones to bring in a summery feel, while keeping the colors warm to stay true to the couple’s style. We opted for heavier white florals with subtle color pops to keep the ceremony on season and brought in a bit more color for the reception space.
In our vision for this special celebration, we set out to weave the enchanting essence of Montana’s natural beauty into every detail. Our goal was to elevate the organic aesthetic while ensuring that guests felt immersed in a luxurious experience, all while perfectly complementing the venue’s stunning features. We drew inspiration from the couple’s love for their favorite local escapes along the river, guiding us in selecting everything from the florals (adorned with driftwood and organic matter) to the paper goods that echoed the beauty of the great outdoors. Each table was thoughtfully designed to reflect this connection, featuring escort cards adorned with charming fishing flies and place cards elegantly tied to napkins with leather twine, complete with a delicate feather tucked inside to tie the theme together. This signature element extended to the invitations as well, each one hand-wrapped in leather and embellished with a feather, echoing the couple’s love for the river and fly fishing. For the ceremony area, we curated an enchanting display of mainly white, organically shaped lush florals to contrast beautifully with the vibrant green field, creating a timeless, summery atmosphere. The bridesmaids’ stunning copper-colored gowns highlighted the subtle warm tones present in the flowers, making for a striking visual against the golden fields that surrounded them under Emigrant Peak. As we moved into the reception space, we aimed to infuse a touch more warmth with our color palette, which complemented the natural wood accents of the venue beautifully. We chose linens with a textured, earthy feel, which served as the perfect backdrop for the breathtaking floral arrangements that resembled little natural art installations on each table. These displays, adorned with drifts of wood, delicate mushrooms, lichen, and other natural treasures found along the river, brought an enchanting touch of the great outdoors directly into the celebration, inviting guests to immerse themselves in the beautiful outdoors. This design celebrates both nature and the couple’s unique story, making each moment a beautiful reflection of their journey together. Julia Moyers Planning & Design Bijou Weddings by Design

[field title=”Proposal Story”]
As serene as their starlit walk across a bridge in the high desert of Bend had been, Zach was anything but calm. Blissfully unaware of his attempts to tee up his proposal, Lauren was incessantly tugging on his arm insisting he watched the ducks gliding across the water below. He let out a laugh, clearly struggling between the romantic moment he’d been planning and the spiraling situation unfolding before him. One thing led to another, and like a magpie to sparkle, she was quick to snatch the ring and inspect the shine under the lanterns. Somewhere between laughter and shock, Zach asked… “So, is that a yes?”. It was. They both cracked up, the ducks entirely unaware that they had front-row seats to the most chaotic, but genuine proposal ever. It was real, it was playful, and perfect for them.

With sentimental ribbons intertwined, they made solemn vows while each knot represented their promises to one another.
