One Cape Cod Couple’s Celebration Brimming With Coastal Home Decor Inspiration

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]The couple worked with Stephanie Diaz of Cape Cod Celebrations to craft the perfect blend of Cape Cod textures and colors with coastal home decor. The design welcomed guests under a sailcloth tent that was full of rich textures and brimming with lush flowers. From home decor pieces by Mrs. Alice to custom lantern chandeliers, coastal living was seamlessly blended into the quintessential Cape Cod aesthetic.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Jack and Amelia’s love for Cape Cod is rooted in the countless weekends they spent together at her parent’s home in Cotuit, escaping the hustle and bustle of Boston. During the early days of Covid in particular, they spent nearly 5 months living on the Cape. They loved starting and ending almost everyday by taking a walk down to Loop Beach near their home. It was fitting that a few summers later, Jack surprised Amelia on one of their evening walks by popping the question! They celebrated the weekend in Cotuit with friends and family and then the following week out in Lake Tahoe with their family members who live in California. The morning of the wedding, Amelia and her sisters walked down to that same beach and took a dip in the ocean before getting ready for the day at their home! [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Amelia wore a strapless A-line Lela Rose gown covered in a delicate floral applique with beading details. The simple elegance of the cut of the gown was complemented by a cathedral length veil dotted with floral details.

[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]The bridesmaids each picked their own dresses in floral patterns of green and blue. Amelia loved how each of her bridesmaids chose dresses that perfectly fit their own style yet also blended together so well to fit the wedding vibe. The color and pattern play between dresses came together beautifully to encapsulate warm days on Cape Cod.[/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]Jack and his groomsmen wore navy blue suits from Bonobos with pale green ties with the Oyster Harbors windmill logo on them. They worked with the Oyster Harbors pro shop to do a custom pale green order of the ties to add a touch more green into the wedding colors for the day.[/field]

[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Food & Drink”]Cocktail hour featured a raw bar with local oysters from Cotuit as a nod to the coastal setting. His and hers signature cocktails had guests sipping spicy margaritas or a refreshing Cape Cod Aperol Spritz that was garnished with Cape Cod cranberries.
[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Lush white and blue florals lined the ceremony aisle and filled the tent with a coastal summer vibe. The textured linens, patterned napkins, and white wicker chargers added visual interest and were a lovely nod to Cape Cod.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The wedding cake design mirrored Amelia’s wedding dress with a tone-on-tone
floral appliqué design. In addition to cake, guests enjoyed the couple’s favorite local sweet treat – Four Seas ice cream.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Amelia & Jack’s wedding date held special significance, as they chose specifically to coincide with the bride’s parents’ wedding anniversary, who got married in the next town over. Amelia surprised her parents with embroidered pieces made from her mom’s wedding dress and stitched with both of their wedding dates, 39 years apart to the day.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The escort display piece was a focal point. The urn was a piece from Mrs. Alice that Amelia and her mom Kathy fell in love with and ordered specially for the wedding. The sea glass escort pieces added a nod to Cape Cod and matched the color scheme perfectly! There were also more Mrs. Alice pieces incorporated in the head table design, bringing the coastal home inspiration into the reception tent.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Amelia’s sister used Charm and Fig for her stationery suite when she got married in Florida. Amelia loved working with Lauren of Charm and Fig again to create a truly unique design that this time embraced Cape Cod. The custom maps, envelope liners, and illustrations in varied tones of blue set the tone from the start for guests to look forward to a beautiful New England soiree. The oyster illustration was brought into the reception on custom cocktail napkins as well.[/field]
