This editorial shoot was inspired by the citrus color palette and the elusive allure of the sea. The bayside waterfront Bahia Resort of San Diego, California, created an unforgettable destination location. The wedding planning and design team, led by the talented Kaleb Norman James Willis, executed their vision of an effortlessly stylish and natural coastal setting with vibrant citrus hues among the lush tropical foliage. Touches of pale blush, the white sand, and natural California sun added an elevated contrast against the azure water and citrus elements. Inspiration originated from the crispness of the citrus fruits, both visually appealing and evocative of summer freshness, yet contrasted with the ever-changing blue hues of the Pacific Ocean. The team sought to evoke feelings of joy in summertime, exuding a carefree and luxurious tropical vibe. There’s a delicate balance between the invigorating zest of the fruits and the tranquility of the beach, creating an editorial that feels both energizing and soothing. The calming hues of blue and sandy shores enhanced the vibrant yellows, oranges, and greens of the citrus color palette. A mix of bright sunlight, bay winds, and a touch of fog off the Pacific created a dynamic yet ethereal atmosphere to set the scene. The reception was located in the gardens of the resort with a stunning head table centerpiece nestled beneath the central gazebo. Every detail from the florals, the place settings, and the pops of lemon came together perfectly. The venue also had other areas directly adjacent to a marina as well as a rocky cove, which added a fun variety to add in some aerial photography to the portrait settings.

This vintage-inspired wedding dress from The Secret Garden Collection by couture designer Claire Pettibone features delicately unique cotton Leaver’s lace. The floral lace elements mixed with the striped lace truly add a special touch. The feminine A-Line gown cascades to a scalloped edge train, adding an effortless, yet dramatic style perfect for this seaside and garden destination venue. The veil was omitted to truly showcase the designer gown amidst the naturally beautiful setting.
