[field title=”Wedding Colors”]
With respect to the color theory, the bride and groom wanted to showcase their two favorite things about South Lake Tahoe in the summer: the gorgeous warm sunsets and the sparkling blue water. Together with Jenn Robirds events, they strategically used blues in napkins and stationery and kept the sunset tones in the flowers and bridesmaids’ attire. The playful palette felt apropos of a warm night on the lake where the couple had enjoyed many summers together.

Edgewood Tahoe’s iconic 17th Green is nestled on the shoreline of South Lake Tahoe. Keeping with our airy summer wedding theme, we opted for a white sailcloth tent. The intention of our design was to choose finishes that felt timeless and clean. The bride’s dress featured clean, chic lines, and we wanted our design to be an extension of that. The crystal chandeliers dimmed perfectly at night as guests danced away to our band from Los Angeles. A classic white dance floor and custom white wooden stage skirt felt clean and bright.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]
From the Bride: “Winston proposed at the Edgewood Tahoe almost exactly one year prior to our wedding day. South Lake Tahoe is a special place for my family as my grandparents have a house by the lake, and we would spend a week every summer visiting. Over the last few years, Winston and I have been able to spend a lot of time in South Lake Tahoe, welcoming friends whenever possible. On August 11, 2021, Winston suggested we get dinner and drinks at Edgewood Tahoe before our friends arrived the next day for the weekend. After we got a drink at the bar, Winston suggested we go upstairs to the rooftop that I didn’t know existed (it does not). He then surprised me when we walked into a beautiful room covered in flowers – he led me out to the patio overlooking the lake and got down on one knee to propose! We were married on the golf course at Edgewood (just a few hundred feet from where he proposed) on August 12, 2022.”

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]
The bride wore a beautiful gown by Ines Di Santo. One thing that was very special to Amy was her wedding veil. Her mother had saved hers from her wedding day, and her sister used it just 6 weeks earlier at her own wedding as well.

The bridesmaids wore dresses by various designers, all in sunset shades.

[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]
The groom wore a custom navy suit from Tom James, while the groomsmen rented navy suits from Generation Tux. The groom and groomsmen had custom ties from Atelier Munro, the groom in light blue and the groomsmen in navy. Winston gifted each of the groomsmen ties personalized with their initials.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Embracing all things summer the fare and drinks were light and vibrant. The couple chose fun signature cocktails for their guests to enjoy such as the Himalayan Ruby with grapefruit-rose vodka, grapefruit juice, rosemary syrup and a black Himalayan salt rim. They didn’t miss out on showcasing their favorite cocktail: a margarita made with spicy agave syrup, tajin rim and dried lime garnish. Cocktail hour was kept light as guests enjoyed crab cakes, herbed brie crostini, and chipotle steak churrasco skewers. For dinner, the couple elected a burrata heirloom tomato salad to start, and guests chose crusted halibut, scallops, wine braised short ribs or crispy vegan risotto cakes. Not to leave anyone hungry: they ended the night with cake and late night sliders.[/field]

Blossoms By Lisa created a soft and whimsical summer floral palette. Jenn Robirds Events strategically designed the ceremony floral to be re-purposed on the band stage, making for a custom backdrop for a party that went well into the early morning hours.

[field title=”Wedding Cake Details”]
In following with the bride’s timeless sensibilities, Jenn Robirds Events elected a classic three tier smooth buttercream cake. Adorned with fresh floral and bouquets placed at the base- the cake’s backdrop of the glistening lake made for a beautiful moment in the reception tent.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]
The stationery suite really set the stage for the wedding day details. Guests were given a preview of the lakeside destination through the watercolor envelope liner and letterpress mountain range with a sailcloth tent nestled at the base. An embossed wooden diamond served as the closing piece for the suite: another nod to the majestic trees in Tahoe. The bride’s requirement for the seating chart was that it be ‘clean and classic.’ Amy wanted something that felt like it could live in a home and fit in with the rest of the home. The perfect shade of blue was selected for the display, and wainscoting details were applied. With a little push from Jenn and her team to add one final nod to the location, the wall was endearingly titled: “Love at the Lake.” A true culmination of this love story: from dating to a proposal and ending with a wedding on the shores of the lake. Summer romance doesn’t get better than this.
