Therese and Bjornar came straight from Norway to celebrate their love at Borgo Castelvecchi, a farmhouse in an historic 16th-century village surrounded by the rolling hills and vineyards of Chianti that offered the most beautiful and serene escape from the fast pace of everyday life. Keep scrolling to hear about how this timeless, gorgeous destination wedding day captured by Ludovica & Valerio came together with the help of My Taste of Tuscany.
A special first look with bridesmaids
The wedding day started with the bride and groom getting ready in their rooms, relaxing with their friends, and taking in the breathtaking surroundings of Chianti. Therese decided to do a first look in her Til Bruden dress with her bridesmaids and close family, while Bjornar watched a sampling of YouTube videos to understand how to tie his papillon, all while drinking wine and beer with his friends.
Garden ceremony design
The ceremony took place in the beautiful sunny garden of Borgo Castelvecchi, surrounded by lush greenery and summer blooms. It was officiated by a Norwegian priest in front of a beautiful arch, created by Marianne of My Taste of Tuscany.
Italian destination weddings call for vintage Italian cars
After the ceremony, Therese and Bjornar took photos in the countryside around Borgo Castelvecchi. Since no destination wedding in Tuscany is complete without a romantic, vintage Italian car, they rode around in style in an historical Fiat 500. They also enjoyed a sweet strawberry cake right after their photo session while chatting with their friends.

When to use warm reception lighting
Dinner was served in the charming courtyard of the Borgo, lit by rows of warm light bulbs that were perfect for a dinner ambiance! The couple’s international guests sat at a long imperial table to enjoy a delicious meal featuring local Tuscan cuisine and the finest wines from the surrounding vineyards. It was impossible to resist also snacking on a few sweet mulberries from the large, beautiful trees all around the dinner table!
Making full use of the wedding band
After dinner and a handful of moving speeches, the party truly began. The groom, Bjornar, took center stage, playing the drums and leading everyone in a night of dancing and celebration.
