[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Pepe and I met over 10 years ago, during our last year of college at the University of Texas at Austin. We were thrilled to find the Wildflower Center, since the venue allowed us not only to start our married life together in a vibrant, inspiring setting but also to share our love of Austin with our family and friends. On top of finding the perfect backdrop to our dream wedding, we lucked out in finding Beth, our event planner at 36th Street Events, who carried out our vision so effortlessly. We wanted to transport our guests to this dreamy Texas landscape and provide them with the most relaxed and fun atmosphere to celebrate and party! Our energetic and extremely talented band, Icehouse Band, ensured just that, and we found ourselves dancing all night, having the time of our lives! [/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]While visiting my family in Hawaii, Pepe booked a morning to ourselves to go skydiving above Oahu’s North Shore. I had skydived before, and he knew I had wanted to take him. It was exciting to be able to share the experience together. Little did I know, he had planned for much more than just skydiving. By the time I was starting to land with my parachute, he was on the ground holding a sign that read “Will you marry me?” [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Julian Gold Bridal was incredible in helping me find my wedding dress! I chose a ballgown by Rita Vinieris for its ethereal and intricate floral detail, flowing skirt, and long train. The cascading tulle was also a fun twist! The dress was the perfect mix of whimsical and romantic. Best of all, it was so comfortable to dance in![/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]I wanted my bridesmaids’ dresses to be a reflection of their unique styles and personalities. I chose blush and asked for anything fun and textured. A few Pinterest boards later, my girls didn’t disappoint, and we came up with a beautiful mix of dresses. [/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]We had such an easy experience with Black Tux previously that it was a no-brainer choosing them for our wedding. The guys wore simple looks–black tuxedos with notched lapels and patent leather shoes. To complete the look, Pepe gave his groomsmen personalized cufflinks. [/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Upon arrival to the Wildflower Center, guests were greeted with champagne and hors d’oeuvres. My favorites were the chicken tinga tacos served on lime wedges and the chicken and waffle bites complete with bourbon maple pipettes! For dinner, guests enjoyed short ribs with parmesan risotto or chicken piccata with mashed potatoes. Signature cocktails included a Texas sipper and a spicy lemongrass margarita, which we loved as a nod to our Texas roots as well as our Mexican and Vietnamese cultures! For late night snacks, we served sliders and fry cones during the reception and later in the night passed out donut holes and kolaches as guests made their way to the buses to depart.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]light and airy, texture and colors, whimsical and fun, loose and sculptural
ranunculus, roses, garden roses, anemones,
tulips, sweet pea, smilax, ruscus, larkspur, delphinium, scabiosa,
*scabiosa pods,
add more soft, ruffly blush blooms such as ranunculus
and dahlias. Add white filly anemone

STYLE: garden style, layered, romantic, elegant, textural, whimsical,

light and airy, simple, minimalist[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]We chose an almond vanilla cake with a minimalist and textured design accented with florals. [/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]In college, Pepe made a bit of a grand gesture by sending me an orchid with a sweet note, asking me to date him. Because of this, orchids hold special meaning in our relationship, and since then, he has given them to me on special occasions or even just to cheer me up. Clementine Botanical Art did such a great job incorporating orchids in my bridal bouquet and our wedding cake. Having those details on the day of our wedding was so special! [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]On our special day, we wanted to include our dogs, Charlie and Herman. Jen Krause Paper Co designed a lot of our day-of signage. She was able to capture their dood personalities perfectly in her illustrations of them, which we featured in silver foil on our cocktail napkins![/field]
