the venue
Be Agafay, located amidst the serene vastness of the Agafay Desert near Marrakech, is a venue that understands the poetry of simplicity. Minimalist at first glance, its beauty reveals itself in layers. The muted palette of the desert creates a canvas of dusty terracotta and soft beige, allowing every detail of a celebration to take center stage. It’s a place where less truly becomes more, making any moment feel richer, more intentional.
the vision: nature, decadence, and tradition
For this styled shoot, led by AMV Weddings, the ceremony began near the elegant swimming pool. Its geometric lines framed the desert’s endless horizon perfectly, a serene contrast to the earthy tones surrounding it. Rows of white chairs sat in the shade of palm tree leaf umbrellas, offering a thoughtful nod to both comfort and natural beauty. The ceremony was alive with the sounds of traditional Moroccan wedding music, golden accents glimmering against the pared-back landscape, blending cultural heritage with minimalist charm.
The reception table was staged on a hill, a breathtaking vantage point overlooking the endless dunes. Decorated by The Bloom Room in hues of blush pink, terracotta, and white, it carried a palette that felt in perfect harmony with the surroundings. Here, Be Agafay showed its truest self—a quiet yet profound backdrop ideal for a one-of-a-kind desert wedding.
the fashion
Making a grand entrance, the bride wore an ornately embroidered white takshita accessorized with decadent gold jewelry. She then changed into a pastel pink takshita for the traditional Moroccan ceremony. The team also imagined a Western wedding ceremony on the unique property, styling the bride in a chic strapless ballgown for the ceremony, and we’re absolutely obsessed with the bell-sleeved lace dress they chose for the reception!
the party
With the moody horizon as their backdrop, the desert was alive with the sounds of traditional Moroccan wedding music, golden accents glimmering against the pared-back landscape, blending cultural heritage with minimalist charm.
