Bride and groom Allyce and Jarrod very much wanted to focus on the blending of their two families on their vibrant and joyful wedding day at Olowalu Plantation House. The colorful, tropical aesthetic gave a nod to the couple’s favorite travel spot, and Kin Event Studio utilized the perfect pops of blue – the groom’s favorite color – to help bring an unexpected pop of color into the day. Bre Jane Photography captured each special moment of this oceanfront celebration that was as heartfelt and humorous as the couple themselves.
Formal yet comfortable invitations
Sweet pink invitations from Minted with a custom wax seal set the tone for this ultra-sweet day. The light and airy color was offset by a more traditional font, making it formal yet still comfortable.
All-inclusive welcome bag
Guests were welcomed to the wedding with a welcome bag full of everything they might need to enjoy the event, from snacks to sunglasses to water and everything in between.
“Something blue” slides
The bridal party wore matching blue slides to get ready and to help serve as Allyce’s “something blue.”
Two wedding dresses in one
Allyce wore a transformable wedding dress with lace trim that included removable full-length lace sleeves so that she had two looks in one. Jarrod wore a bright blue suit with the lightest pink tie and matching pocket square for an accent. Bridesmaids donned pink florals and corals to fill out a sunset-inspired ombre color palette.
Coral for florals
The ceremony took place overlooking the water with bright pink and coral floral arrangements by Bella Bloom in a u-shape around the couple as their guests looked on.
Signage inspired by “The Office”
Allyce and Jarrod absolutely love “The Office,” which played into the theme of their wedding day signage by Miss B Calligraphy and also became the inspiration for their table names.
Drinks on the dogs
Because the couple is equally (well, more!) obsessed with their dogs, each of the custom cocktails were named after them. The couple even included cute custom pictures of their dogs on the cocktail napkins!
Vintage and velvet seating
Cocktail hour offered vintage and velvet seating options such as this vignette set up outside where guests could opt for more traditional couches or fun rattan poufs.
The perfect thrifted card basket
Vintage took on another role for the couple’s card table – vintage baskets sat atop a light pink tablecloth for a simple yet sophisticated setup.
Clear tented perfection
Allyce and Jarrod opted for a clear tent that would be perfect in rain or shine. The tent included curtains that could be pulled back to let the ocean breeze flow through as guests ate.
Custom print candles
The terracotta candles throughout were custom plumeria print from Estelle that complemented the salmon linens.
Little blue box: Traditional Jordan almonds
To honor Allyce’s Italian heritage, the blue boxes at each place setting were filled with Jordan almonds.
Vintage VW photo ops
Guests enjoyed an amazing photo op courtesy of the cutest vintage VW bus from Bamboo Shootz Photo Booth that stayed stationed outside the cocktail hour and reception all evening.
Textured white wedding cake
The wedding cake by Cake Fanatics stood out in its textured simplicity against a traditional patterned tablecloth in a pop of blue.
