Our wedding day vision was brought to life by so many incredible vendors! Our design was classic, elegant, and whimsical.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Brendan and I met in Fall 2017 at the University of Arkansas. I was enrolled in an Economics class and was looking for a tutor. My roommate at the time had a family friend (Brendan) who happened to be a tutor for that course. We met several times throughout the semester for tutoring sessions. It didn’t take long for either of us to realize we were both interested in more than the Economics material. After the semester, Brendan asked me to get coffee at Onyx, and the rest is history! Brendan proposed in May 2023. He planned a “picnic” to celebrate graduating from law school. We went ring shopping and designed my ring a few months prior, so I knew the proposal would be soon. At the picnic, he had brought a bottle of wine we bought on our first anniversary in Napa, CA, that we kept saving for a “special occasion.” After the proposal, we celebrated with our families and closest friends!

I immediately fell in love with “Tucker” by Anne Barge the moment I saw it. Before my appointment at La Mariée Boutique, I contacted Elizabeth to confirm they had it in the store. Elizabeth pulled it before I arrived and asked me if I wanted to try it on first or last – I chose last. It didn’t take me long after putting it on that I knew it was my dress. We made a small adjustment to the off-the-shoulder straps, making them into a thicker shoulder strap for the ceremony. It was elegant and timeless – exactly what I envisioned for my wedding day.

Brendan’s grandmother made cufflinks for the men in his family out of his late grandfather’s fire department dress uniform. We lost his grandfather in December 2023, so this special touch was a sweet reminder of him.

Our catering and bartending teams blew us away – as we knew they would! Upon arrival at the ceremony, guests were met with a glass of champagne, then had the choice of several delicious drink options by the Mint 2 Mix team for the remainder of the night. We also included mocktail options. Justin Thompson Catering passed hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour, my favorite being the chicken and waffles. Guests chose between chicken and beef for their entrees. I had mentioned at our tasting that salmon would be my preferred choice, and the JTC team made a special entrée with salmon just for me! Our entree also included pesto risotto and broccoli – two of our favorites!

Silks A Bloom was the first vendor I contacted once we finalized our wedding day! I chose white and green florals paired with glass accents and candles for a clean, timeless look!

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Some may call it crazy, but I knew we had to have Shelby Lynn’s Cake Shoppe make our wedding cake, even if we were getting married in another state! We chose a lemon cake with raspberry filling. We wanted something light and summery.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

We had a cello and violin duo play for our ceremony and cocktail hour. As a big Swiftie, our professional music was all Taylor Swift. For cocktail hour, I wanted a mix of classical and pop – think Bridgerton vibes! For our private last dance, we chose the song that Brendan had playing when he proposed – “Let You Love Me” by Jervis Campbell

My mom gifted me the pearl earrings and diamond tennis bracelet she wore on her wedding day. She is also an extremely talented seamstress, and she made all of the alterations to my wedding dress and my veil.

Our seating chart! My mom and I sourced all of the frames and pictures. This took several months full of thrift store and estate sale trips, spray painting frames in the summer heat, and printing the perfect photos. Dayflower Designs took over from there and brought my vision to life!
