Morgan and Jimmy couldn’t ever pinpoint the exact moment they met. Their memories were intertwined across grade school and high school, leaving them unsure if there had ever been a time when they didn’t know each other. Over the years, they shared classes and laughter, and they even went to prom together. It wasn’t until they reconnected after college that they discovered the undeniable spark between them. A few years into their relationship, Jimmy proposed in Colonial Williamsburg – a perfect choice for two history majors who cherished the past as much as their shared future. Keep scrolling to see how their wedding at Mankin Mansion came together in blushing pink perfection, all captured throughout the day by Morgan Renee Photography.
Featured venue: Mankin Mansion
Morgan’s vision of plenty of florals meant that their Virginia wedding day perfectly executed a blushing pink garden party theme. The Mankin Mansion, with perfectly manicured gardens, sweeping trees, and brick pathways, set the stage for this floral-infused celebration and offered luxurious indoor spaces for the bride and her crew to get ready, including a suite filled with vintage decor.
Garden party style: Floral applique
Morgan wore a gown by Martina Liana from Studio I Do Bridals, adorned with sparkling beading and three-dimensional floral appliques that perfectly complemented the garden party aesthetic. She paired her look with the cutest floral earrings and wore her hair down in effortless waves. Morgan had customized her look by transforming the gown’s original cape into a detachable overskirt and train, which she removed later for dancing.
Pops of (wedding party) pink
The bridesmaids wore perfect pink silk dresses from Revelry with colorful, summer-inspired bouquets that featured purposeful blue and yellow accents against the pinks and whites of the other florals. The groomsmen wore classic black suits from Indochino with pink boutonnieres to carry the theme through their style, as well.
Floral design: Every shade of summer pink
Through bouquets, centerpieces, basket arrangements, and the altar, Morgan’s floral dream came together through mauves and blush tones courtesy of Weddings by Vogue. Every shade of pink was included in their color palette, with splashes of other bright summer hues.
