a down-home texas wedding weekend
Aubree and Chandler have a special love story and wanted to celebrate their big day in an equally special way. Chandler is a Forbes 30 under 30, and with his company Self Publishing School, he has helped more than 6,000 authors publish their own books. Aubree is also a published author. The couple chose the quiet Rest Yourself River Ranch as a destination for many of their close family and friends from all around the country to meet in the DFW metroplex. The Ranch overlooks the iconic Brazos River and offers multi-day lodging options, which the couple took advantage of to relax and unwind over the course of three days with their guests, including a fun Rehearsal Dinner featuring a Country two-step dance instructor. The weather was bright and sunny all weekend long. To best capture the depth of emotions throughout their day, Jamie Park Photo utilized both digital and film photography.
a country spin on the italian countryside
For this wedding, Clover Event Design was inspired by the vibrant citrus fruits of Italy which melded perfectly with the down-home chic of Texas iconography–think white cowboy boots meets overflowing tables of fresh oranges and limes. The ceremony space featured a multitude of dried fruit, meant to evoke the freshness of the Italian countryside, overlooking the river backdrop. Their colors included hues of pinks, oranges, yellows, and greens.
Vibrant floral centerpieces by Render Events graced every table framed by delicate bud vases and sliced citrus fruits. You know this wedding must have smelled INCREDIBLE!
the fashion
Aubree started the day lounging in the dreamiest feather-trimmed pink tulle robe, as one does. Then, it was time to step into her dramatic lace and tulle ballgown complete with off-the-shoulder princess sleeves for the ceremony. Chandler added to the vibrant color palette with a chic olive suit and burgundy tie. We also can’t get over the adorable floral embroidery on the flower girl dresses!
The couple opted to have no official wedding party, but instead chose for their siblings to participate in most of the traditional wedding portions.
the cake
For their cake, the couple selected a simple three-tiered buttercream frosted cake with fresh flowers. The modern acrylic cake stand was filled with more fresh flowers and citrus fruits to tie everything together.
good food and good music
Cocktail hour featured an oyster bar and handcrafted martinis. Their guests danced the night away on a gorgeous tented reception lawn to the live music of The Drywater Band.
