the vibe: intimate and opulent
Monica and Charles’ wedding at the New Orleans Museum of Art was a stunning tribute to old Hollywood glamor, where timeless elegance met modern sophistication. Organized by Rayner Shine Events, the wedding’s aesthetic was a perfect blend of personalized touches, from the opulent floral arrangements by Leaf + Petal NOLA to the dramatic lighting that evoked a sense of cinematic romance. Even a classic New Orleans Champagne Girl floated around the room in traditional Marie Antionette garb (an homage to a famous portrait at the museum). Every detail, down to the art-filled backdrop of the museum, echoed the grandeur of a bygone era, making their day an unforgettable celebration of love and style.
getting ready
Monica and her ladies lounged in feather-trimmed pajamas and sipped champagne as they prepped in the bridal suite. The bride opted for a chic low bun and rosy yet natural makeup to complement her romantic lace gown.
the dresses
Monica’s custom Wona Concept gown was the epitome of vintage-inspired luxury, featuring intricate detailing that beautifully complimented the venue’s historic charm.
The bridesmaids also looked stunning in chic mix-and-match dresses in a rich burgundy shade.
a vintage ride
It really doesn’t get more dramatic than making your big entrance in a white vintage Rolls Royce. Imagine pulling up to the church this baby!
the church ceremony
Decked out in dazzling white marble, gilded fixtures, and some of the most impressive stained glass in the States, St. Louis Cathedral was the perfect choice for this opulent wedding ceremony.
the cake
Five tall tiers adorned with sculpted sugar orchids–in a place of honor, at the top of the museum’s grand staircase, sat this towering white wedding cake by Cocoa Bean Bakery.
