I aimed to create a look that was both timelessly elegant and infused with modern touches. My goal was to be able to look back at my photos, no matter how much time passed, and still feel excited. I wanted guests to leave with an unforgettable experience, filled with thoughtful customizations at every turn. From vibrant pops of color in the church to vintage cake plates and a fresh spin on a classic dance floor, we wanted the day to be fun yet timeless.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Ethan and I went out of town to “visit his family” in Natchez, Mississippi. While exploring the historic city, our first stop was a stunning cathedral with a flower garden. In the garden was a stunning fountain, which Ethan pointed out to me. As we admired it, he unexpectedly got down on one knee and proposed! What made the moment even more meaningful was that it was a place my grandparents had visited on their honeymoon.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]
After trying on over 50 dresses, I finally found a fabric and bow I LOVED at Fabulous Frocks in Shreveport. As time went on, I began to question the neckline. After playing dress up in my mom’s bedroom, I realized that a different neckline would suit the classic vision of the wedding. We began alterations and completely changed the neckline, while adding tails to the incredible double bow. I adore every detail that came to be on the dress!

[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]I couldn’t help but feel a little jealous of my bridesmaids because I loved their dresses so much! The beautiful strapless light blue gowns from Bella Bridesmaids, with stunning ruffle details down the back, were perfect. They were my “something blue” for the day, and I wouldn’t change a thing![/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]
The groomsmen wore deep navy suits from Squire’s. Ethan had originally planned to wear the same suit, but he had chosen his wedding boots months earlier, and they were a special detail for him. When we realized his boots wouldn’t fit over the slim-fit pants, I knew we’d need to find a solution. Thankfully, his family owns a clothing store, so they were able to get him a custom-fitted suit. We decided on a light tan suit, which turned out to be the perfect contrast to the groomsmen’s navy suits. What started as a stressful moment ended up being one of my favorite details of the day!

[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Food & Drink”]From the start, we knew we wanted fun, flavorful food, and the Petroleum Club of Shreveport truly delivered. Their amazing spread featured a variety of stations, with everything from fresh-rolled sushi and Louisiana shrimp and grits to carne asada street tacos and beef Wellington—something to satisfy every craving! To give guests a sweet send-off, we served honey butter chicken biscuits at the exit. The food was, without a doubt, the most talked-about highlight after our wedding. Ethan and I couldn’t wait to get back to our hotel that night, where we were beyond excited to find a honey butter chicken biscuit from the Petroleum Club waiting for us![/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]
Our vision began with the creation of our custom crest and envelope liner, featuring a light blue and peach floral design. This served as the foundation for Brianna Belton to bring our vision to life. One of my biggest desires was for the church to be breathtaking. We got married in a grand sanctuary, and I envisioned a striking focal point—a large arch overflowing with flowers. For the reception, we wanted a lounge-like atmosphere with soft seating vignettes scattered throughout. The dance floor featured a light blue and white checkered pattern, with lattice details woven into the back wall of the stage and bar inserts. We even had a few custom linens made to match the design of the envelope liners, tying everything together beautifully.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]We chose to have a fake wedding cake so it could remain beautiful and serve as a focal point throughout the evening. The design by Uptown Downtown featured lovely bow details, a nod to the wedding gown. But the best part of having a fake cake? We could pick as many cake flavors as we wanted! Each guest was served a slice on a vintage floral dessert plate, with choices ranging from classic wedding cake, lemon blueberry, chocolate, to red velvet and Chantilly. It was such a fun touch, and I heard from so many people that they tried a little bit of every flavor![/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]
My favorite part was truly the ceremony. While the music was beautiful and the sermon was so well done, honestly, my favorite part was that Ethan and I could not stop talking to each other! After a whole day of not seeing each other, it was so much fun to just stand up there holding hands and whispering to each other about everything!

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]
My wedding day perfume was something that I knew would be a special keepsake for me and I knew every time I smelled the scent, it would bring me right back to the wedding weekend. In honor of scents bringing memories back to life, we gifted my wedding day perfume to each of my bridesmaids and the women of my family to both wear and keep as a memory of the wedding weekend!

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Allie carried a 125 year old Bible with her bouquet that been carried by 75 brides before her including her mom and grandmother and great grandmother. A tribute to her grandmother who recently passed away.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]The peach monogrammed sashes for the bridesmaids were a beautiful, personalized detail, adding a special touch to their floral bouquets. It was a fun way to show how much I appreciate them and the important role they play in my life. As a surprise, my mom also gifted me a white monogrammed sash for my bouquet. [/field]
