[field title=”Wedding Colors”]We opted for a fairly simple green and white color palette for the ceremony and reception. [/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Our wedding planners at NK Productions did an incredible job with every detail of the wedding. We wanted our wedding weekend to feel like an intimate party with our closest friends and family. We asked two of our closest friends to ‘host’ the weekend, which brought a relaxed and personal touch to the entire weekend. We started the weekend renting out a local brewery for a pizza, beer, cocktails, and speeches night, which ended up being one of the highlights. We opted for a fairly short ceremony officiated by one of our closest friends and then moved right into cocktail hour at sunset and dinner / dancing through the night. [/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]We were in Copenhagen (where we lived for two years) to celebrate Mike’s 30th birthday and, to Mike’s surprise, to get engaged. After the proposal, we had a celebration dinner at Noma and then went the following day to design our wedding bands with a local goldsmith (Charlotte Christina Larsen at Facon Facon). [/field]

[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]Grooms Attire: We wanted to stay fairly traditional with our attire, so we opted for classic tuxedos from Suit Supply for the both of us. Mike wore a black and white tux and Joel wore a dark blue tux. We both added small design touches with feather bow ties from Brackish. We did not have a wedding party, so our closest friends and family wore whatever they felt most comfortable in![/field]

[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Food & Drink”]Food and drink were top priorities for us and they both ended up being a highlight of the night. Our caterer, Michael’s on East, did a fantastic job with the food and service. We had passed hors d’oeuvres after the ceremony which included lobster rolls and conch fritters. We then had a seated dinner during the reception with local grouper and short rib as the main entrees. For the bar, we opted for a circle bar so that we could avoid long lines forming and everyone could get easy access to drinks throughout the night.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]We opted for simple greenery and small pops of colors through white flowers and citrus. The Ringling Courtyard already had such distinct design features including landscaping and architecture, so we felt simple, natural additions would be best for us. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]We are not big cake or dessert people, so we decided to go a bit more informal. We bought a selection of cake from a local bakery in Tampa (Wright’s Deli) and had the cake out for guests throughout the night. [/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]We wanted to have a casual Friday night welcome party for all our friends and family to gather to kick off the weekend. We were just coming out of covid, so we wanted to make sure everyone got the chance to reunite, meet new people, and grab some pizza and beer. Our moms went above and beyond to make that Friday night super special. They hired an incredible pizza truck (Polpo Pizza) and cocktail bar (The Wandering Whale) and decorated the brewery (Mandeville Brewery) with a number of personal touches. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]We timed the wedding ceremony to be at sunset, so the backdrop ended up being a beautiful Florida sunset. It made for a special moment at the time and beautiful pictures. Thank you to Cornelia Zaiss for capturing our wedding so well! [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]We asked two of our closest friends Amy and Tessa to host the weekend. They kicked things off with a toast / roast on Friday night and then welcomed everyone on Saturday to the ceremony, which was officiated by our close friend, Tessa. We are so grateful they led the weekend and they were able to bring personal touches (and a lot of humor!) to the entire weekend. [/field]
