the vision: fall in tuscany
Designed by Threshold Events, Kari and Elliot’s wedding at the Tuscan Estate of Monserate Winery in Fallbrook, California, was a harmonious blend of classic elegance and Italian charm. Surrounded by warm, earthy tones of blush and soft taupe, their celebration captured the cozy essence of a Tuscan autumn in Southern California.
the invitations
Delicate pressed paper invitations in shades of ivory and dusty rose evoked the rustic romance of the day to come. We love that the envelope color is a nod to the bridesmaids’ dresses.
the flowers
The ceremony at Monserate Winery was set against a picturesque backdrop, with natural wood chairs arranged on lush green grass leading to a low floral arrangement by Simply Chesca Floristry in blush, ivory, and taupe blooms. Delicate aisle arrangements complemented the lush surroundings, while the cascading waterfall and picturesque lake added a serene, romantic touch.
Matching floor-level arrangments were featured throughout the wedding reception while smaller arrangments decorated the table in mix-and-match glassware giving the tables an effortlessly elegant feel.
the fashion
Kari’s Jessica Couture wedding gown was an absolute show-stopper, featuring a structured bustier adorned with intricate lace detailing and delicate 3D floral appliqués, embodying the designer’s signature blend of modern aesthetics and classic elegance. She wore detachable off-the-shoulder sleeves for the sunset couple portraits and continued to wear them during the reception, effortlessly transitioning her look from romantic to modern chic. Kari carried a bouquet of blush, beige, ivory, and deep burgundy blooms, including roses, ranunculus, and lisianthus, complemented by soft greenery and rich textures. The groom and groomsmen (including junior groomsmen!) looked sharp in classic black tuxedos.
the gifts
Fragrance played a significant role in their wedding, with the couple choosing Jo Malone London’s Cypress & Grapevine Cologne Intense and Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne as their signature scents. As a thoughtful gesture, Kari gifted her bridesmaids luxurious Jo Malone candles, adding a personal touch to the celebration.
a private vow exchange
The couple shared an intimate first look, followed by a heartfelt private vow exchange that set the tone for their deeply personal and emotional day. This quiet moment allowed them to connect and reflect on their journey together before stepping into the joy and celebration of their wedding.
the cake
As the evening unfolded, the celebration transitioned into the intimate ambiance of the barrel room, where guests were treated to a delectable cake crafted by Gruttadauria’s 1914 Bakery, a fourth-generation family-owned Italian bakery renowned for its rich heritage.
a new exit trend
The night culminated in a dazzling send-off, with guests waving shimmering pom-poms–a festive and personalized alternative to traditional exits, ushering the couple into an exhilarating after-party.
