Shades of green with touches of ivory were used throughout the color scheme. The patterns created by Yellow Brick Graphics enhanced those colors to truly let the palette shine!

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

There was a running inside joke throughout the design process with the word “EVOLVE.” Sydney’s initial vision was classic, black and white, and boy, did it evolve from that! The classic vibe was still held, but color and prints were slowly added. For the ceremony, the style was traditional with lush garden floral. The historic church was so gorgeous on its own that we let that speak for itself in many ways, while adding floral touches throughout to keep the overall design of the day cohesive. The celebration was held at Lone Summit Ranch. It’s owned by Sydney’s family, and they wanted to see something unique and personalized for Sydney and Jared. The vision from day one was to completely transform the space! Michelle Layman of Events by Elle suggested adding drapery treatments to the windows, covering the venue’s focal point fireplace with a custom bar, using the venue’s built-in bar as a specialty bar, and then the vision just took off from there. Guests were treated to a non-traditional experience by arriving at an outdoor cocktail hour, a seated, indoor dinner, and then back outside for the dance party. The outdoor patio was also transformed by adding custom bars, umbrellas, and linens featuring colors and patterns from Sydney and Jared’s invitation. We fully embraced an upscale, garden vibe with wicker lounge furniture, patio umbrellas, and even the centerpieces were woven baskets of flowers! Inside the transformed venue, dramatic features were everywhere! Events by Elle worked closely with Yellow Brick Graphics, Levity Events, and Heart & Soul Floral Design Studio to customize every last detail. Signature prints, jaw-dropping floral, and custom builds were seen from every angle. The decadent desserts by Creme & Sucre were displayed in true wow factor form, spanning 20 feet long and dripping with flowers by Heart & Soul Floral Design Studio. The custom bar and shelving by Levity Events took center stage and really tied in all the colors, prints, and beauty of the overall design scheme. Overall, the vibe was high-end elegance mixed with just the right amount of flair to let guests know this was going to be the party of a lifetime!

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

On August 26, 2023, Jared planned the most romantic proposal at The Inn at Meadowbrook. The two of them had a lovely dinner at Verbena, followed by a walk around the lake. As they approached the bridge, Jared got down on one knee and asked Sydney to marry him. All of their friends and family were waiting to celebrate. It was a night they will never forget!

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Sydney found her dream dress by Ines Di Santo at Mimi’s Couture. We should also talk about those gorgeous, lace gloves. They were such a MOMENT for this dress![/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]

The bridesmaids’ dresses played a key role in the overall design of the entire wedding day! Sydney fell in love with an embroidered floral print in one of Jenny’s bridesmaids. She went to look at it in person at Bella Bridesmaids KC and decided to add in other gowns by Jenny Yoo in the color palette of the original dress. This is truly what took the color palette to an entirely different level!

[field title=”Food & Drink”]

Donning custom aprons and gorgeous serving trays, the waitstaff of Brancato’s Catering fit right into the design! The food was over-the-top delicious and was served in courses throughout the celebration. A hand-selected menu was created for the “Coffee Beans and Cocktail Dreams, bar. Brancato’s Catering served every cafe drink imaginable, topped with whipped cream, cookies, and candies. You might have already guessed that Espresso Martinis were the heavy hitter of the evening!

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Cascading arrangements and pillars of florals were seen throughout the wedding day and into the celebration. Heart & Soul Floral Design Studio left no spot untouched with their artistic touch and attention to detail. Can we all just pause for a moment to truly take in the gorgeous fountain that overflowed with lavish flowers?!

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Why stop at just one wedding cake? Creme & Sucre filled what seemed like a never-ending table with decadent cakes adorned with ribbons and pearls and every imaginable sweet treat from towers of macarons to displays of cake pops, assorted cookies, cheesecake bites, brownies, cream puffs, and more. The sweetest thing on this 20-foot spread was the little puppy face peeking out from a cake tier. Sydney and Jared’s dog, Parker, had to make an appearance somewhere!

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

Jared and Sydney wanted their ceremony to reflect their deep faith, so choosing Country Club Christian Church was a natural decision. As guests arrived, they were greeted by violin music filling the air by Jordan Gibson, playing outside the stunning stone entrance. Inside the sanctuary, Jordan continued with the processional music as the couple walked down the aisle. At the altar, Sydney and Jared shared a quiet, sacred moment as vocalists sang, “The Blessing.” Surrounded by their immediate family, the couple then participated in a heartfelt family prayer, adding an extra layer of love and unity to the ceremony.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

First Dance & Fireworks: Jared and Sydney shared their first dance on an elegant white stage, adorned with custom florals and overlooking the serene 15-acre lake. As their dance concluded, Jared dipped Sydney for a kiss, just as a breathtaking cascade of fireworks erupted behind them in a waterfall-like fashion. Fireworks then lit up the sky over the lake, setting the stage for an EPIC party!!!

Dance Party: When guests arrived outside for the dance party, they were greeted with a custom display of Fireball by Yellow Brick Graphics to get the party started. Cowboy hats were passed through the crowd as Icon Event Group played Pitbull’s “Fireball.” As if that wasn’t enough to get the crowd going, Sydney and Jared took to the stage and shot off smoke cannons….and the crowd went WILD.

Invitation & Branding Elements: “Fern Avra,” by Nuage Designs, was the chosen linen for this celebration. It was decided early enough that Yellow Brick Graphics was able to create a similar pattern for the invitation suite. This pattern was carried through in many different ways throughout the wedding day as well. The menus, the bars, the umbrellas, the programs; the print was used in many variations to bring the design full circle from the invitation!
