[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]The color palette all started with a dress code color for the guests which was shades of blue. Not only would it feel cohesive in the design, but being an intimate wedding it was such a fun memory for the guests to feel involved. With a lot of blue in the attire, we highlighted the blue in accents and kept a lot of the main details neutrals for the guests to pop![/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Situated atop Sunstone Winery, is the iconic Sunstone Villa which is an Italian estate overlooking the Santa Ynez Mountains. We leaned into the Italian Vibes and residential feeling of the venue. We wanted everyone to feel like they were staying at this Villa especially since this was a destination wedding for majority of the guests (flying in from Texas and India).[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]From the bride, It all started at a LSU football in Fall 2017. Having been introduced by a mutual friend, the pair have been inseparable since. What started off as a friendship, slowly turned into a relationship when they both moved to NYC. We’ve become best friends, soul mates and each others #1 fans. [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]The bride wore a lace Monique Lhuillier ballgown. After the ceremony, the lace blouse was removed for a strapless look. Heirloom jewels from the bride’s grandmother was passed down for the bride to wear. [/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]The bridesmaids were dressed in varying blue designs suited for their preference and comfort from Mumu Weddings.[/field]

[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Food & Drink”]The bride wanted the guests to feel taken care of. Duo Catering created a menu taking into consideration the hearty palette of Texans and the vegetarians and Jain diets of the guests from India. Mocktails were just as important as the cocktails, so we made sure throughout the day both options were offered and both still beautifully presented and curated. With the hot temps of the day, the lemon sorbets were such a hit during cocktail hour. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Florals were lush in a classic, neutral cream palette in beautiful stoneware vessels to match the venue. We added a shaded wood structure for the long sunny Summer day. It was important to highlight the historic feel of the venue without over-empowering the Villa. At night, the chandeliers and twinkle lights over the dance floor area created a glow for dancing. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The bride being gluten free required a delicious gluten free cake, so luckily we have Lilac Patisserie locally. A simple three tier textured cake with blooms from the florist. [/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The bride has a love for Abba so all the ceremony songs were Abba, which were played instrumentally by the String Quartet. Songs featured were Chiquitata for the wedding party, Gimmie, Gimmie Gimmie for the groom, Dancing Queen for the bride’s processional, and lastly, Waterloo for the Recessional. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Besides the blue dress code for guests and themed ceremony Abba songs, I would have to say the bride and groom’s love for their fur baby, Winnie Mae. Little Winnie was highlighted in many of the stationery details and as one of the flower girls that walked in the ceremony. She even had a custom dog dress made from the lace of the bride’s gown. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Sunstone Villa has a historic wood fired pizza oven and it was the perfect ending for the wedding to have pizza as their late night snack. Guests couldn’t even tell there were all gluten free pizzas.[/field]
